Thank you Priya. Big takeaway for me is the concept of indifference, instead of constant assessment as my usual mo. Thanks Dan for bringing her to us.

Its soooo wonderful to see that many people relate to my story and I am sure it will give some hope in their recovery journey. Many thanks to Dan for giving me the platform to share my journey and what an incredible work you are doing :)...so so grateful for your simple and accurate concepts and all the amazing videos on this channel. I might have missed many things which don't matter anymore but for someone who have some doubts to relate...the word "sensations" or "pain" basically are everything ranging from numbness, sharp aches, tightness or pressure like feeling, soreness, nerve pain, tingling, palpitations, brain fog and dizziness. I had multiple emergency hospital visits and numerous medications related to nerve pain as well. So just wanted to add these because the sensations are very very REAL BUT FALSE ALARMS our brain is capable of generating. It is basically a FEAR PAIN FEAR cycle which keeps going and aggravates these symptoms. I remember how my mind used to work that no one has my kind of symptoms in chest/ribs area so I have something different and not treatable (and there are literally no videos or stories related to these symptoms online which were real success). Therefore, listing here all the symptoms so even those in doubt can relate to and can begin their recovery journey. But, once I got accurate science based knowledge (specially from Dan's videos), I stopped fearing, started to have the SO WHAT attitude towards my sensations and knowing that I have no structural problem and I don't need to find a link between my activities and the pain I am feeling...I had wonderful results. It was a gradual process though and listening to Dan was the best thing I could do then. I really really hope that everyone who is dealing from any TMS symptoms recovers soon and enjoy the beautiful life :) If someone wants to connect or has any questions, I would be absolutely open to get in touch at pmgoals@gmail.com :).

Yes Dan you legend. I have been suffering 4 years with constant chest & rib pain (costochonditris) I started to implement the mind body connection a year ago but I still struggle with frustration when the discomfort increases. I also googled it and come across a physiotherapist on Reddit who said it was structural and it wouldn’t heal unless you did his blueprint. That created panic and I become obsessed with fixing myself. I needed this video today and hopefully you will have more chest related success stories in the future.

Priya and Dan - thank so much for this inspiring success story (I identified so much with your over-medicalization story). I just also wanted to comment, it's amazing how much you change (from implementing the process) and let go of fear along this journey. A while ago I would have been so upset by the thought of how come it's taking me so much longer to recover (been on the TMS journey over 2 years now), but instead I was inspired by Priya. My thoughts are now, SO WHAT! It takes what it takes and it will happen when it happens! For some of us, we have to tweak and adjust along the way. Over time, we start loosing more and more of the fear. We start to SEE where there still may be some fear slipping in - as an example, what was big for me - "Am I doing this right?". Once we have the Awareness (and with this process our awareness develops, as we see our thoughts and make the decision to not believe them) of what might be keeping us in fear mode, we can change. So, let's not be judgemental of ourselves. As Dan has said, tweak, adjust and keep going!!!! We WILL overcome!

I can sooo relate with this while my pain is not where hers was the journey and the mindset I completely get. Same thoughts exactly. I wish I had one doctor tell me this is stress though and it’s muscoskeletal without a doubt. It is why I’m struggling with this work because the symptoms are so severe I’m bedridden and not one doctor nor therapist consistently says the same thing or for example it took 3 years to see a neurosurgeon who didn’t even look at my mri !! Like the care is so bad in Canada to even rule out at very least or they say nothing because they can’t treat the upper neck and their big fat egos. My brain has a hard time if I don’t know for sure whether this is TMS to say nothing is wrong with me considering this is post injury but years ago. I think if I would have had this pain and symptoms come on without injury attached I would think TMS without a doubt but there seems to be a gray line between whether your injury truly healed or healed badly and true TMS. I find this work keeps me going and has reduced some of the pain but it’s hard to concrete believe because of post injury.

@kateking3953Ай бұрын
Yes, absolutely. She stopped doing physical therapy, she stopped believing that her problems were exacerbated by physical causes or a syndrome or a disease, or what the doctors had told her were rheumatological. She started to visualise herself as well and able, and started practising 'indifference', in other words accepting that she had the symptoms but refusing to focus on them and believe they were a sign of something serious.
