Love to see the tradition methodes are used to create a not so traditional garden. Thanks for recording and sharing💚🙏🏻😁👍🏻
@JapaneseGardenTV2 жыл бұрын
I think that's what makes it so interesting😊. I also learned that even if it is not traditional, the underlying Japanese sense of beauty is still reflected.

The alternating use of the sleepers and Oya stone is quite wonderful. It creates a sense of contrast without creating tension. Also, the selection and placement of the trees allows for some privacy from the adjoining property. You guys really rock when it comes to "attention to detail!" I "dig" your work. Hahaha

Thank you! That's exactly right! We have an evergreen hedge between this house and the neighbor's house, so I'm sure after a while the neighbor's house won't mind! 😊

Bless those guys working on the road side of the house. That looks like some HARD ground!

The ground had been trampled by many people and it looked like a lot of work😅.

It was the first time I saw a design that mixed Oya stone and sleepers, and it was really cool how well they matched!😊

What a wonderful garden. I would love to see it again in a year , in spring or summer. It will grow into such a serene sanctuary. Thankyou to the gardener.

I will be shooting this garden a little while after it's done!😊 I'm hoping to get a shot around June, when the leaves have settled down to a more muted color palette!

That courtyard area is going to be stunning...I hope the home owner has a good skill for pruning...

I'm sure the gardener who is building this garden will do the pruning of these trees! It will need to be pruned at least twice a year.

I am in the process of creating a Japanese garden myself. I find your videos very inspiring and educational. I always look forward to seeing a new video from you. Keep on doing. Greetings from Belgium. I have a question, what is that white stuff that is used to plant trees?
@ghislardodifratta24582 жыл бұрын
Perlite
@JapaneseGardenTV2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I see! That's great! The white powder is perlite! It's a soil conditioner used when the soil doesn't drain well!

Love love love the Oya stones but not crazy about all the trees in the courtyard. They will block all the light from the beautiful viewing windows and doors☹I guess it's a personal preference. Good luck raking the leaves!

What are the materials being mixed with the soil before planting the trees? Is that charcoal and a white powder of some kind?
@tofuroshi2 жыл бұрын
Perlite is the white
@JapaneseGardenTV2 жыл бұрын
The white stuff is a material called perlite that improves drainage! The black stuff is nutrient humus!

You have to believe more in sand (dirt soil of any kind) and land. Use less concrete, or use it as a component for a shape that work supporting another (not trapping one). In that garden now the way you walk will be different in time. Plan to keep open to transformation. I hope to see this garden in full spring season in one of your future video.

in europe u can plant a tree 3-4 meter from house, cause they grow up big and can fall on the house or brake branches during very strong wind
@JapaneseGardenTV2 жыл бұрын
We plan to carefully manage our trees to prevent what you describe from happening.😊

@@JapaneseGardenTV i like how much effort team puts in every work. Few weeks ago around my house people pruning and cutting some trees and bushes and they cut few very nice trees, they totally didn't care what they were doing 😭 we saved one tree who blooms very nice, they wanted to cut it too

Arigato guzaimas, konichiwa...
