For the beginner in drifting c5 c6 vette is a good package you have great hp torque for a stock car you just put a angle kit hydro e brake kit and learn some technique. It's great to see your perspective about vette drifting.

"I love corvettes." - me I also think its great there's so many of my generation and younger doing wild things with corvettes that are coincidentally also saving them from the jean shorts and new balance wearing boomers. C6 is legitimately MEAN looking especially when lowered, really cool bodystyle overall. C5 is alright and C4 is kinda whatever unless it's blue with the single white stripe grand sport (Gran Turismo chads know what I'm talking about). It's a really versatile chassis as well, you can do basically whatever you want with it. And because its USDM the parts are easy to get.

My thoughts on the Corvettes, I love them like I am a C5 C6 fanboi, I might get on when I am 19 and maybe shred the hell out of it and also some say the corvette is a gripped up 240 with a LS Sir Haugen since you said you like mustangs why not react to them drifting, Lone Star Drift had a mustang before and it's a shredder for a "stock" car

The second clip was Taylor Ray, drifting somebodies car, the Z06 that Cleetus was running was set up by Taylor Ray, he did an angle kit, handbrake and some BC Racing coilovers. And Collete is running a Z06 as well. With the angle kit and coilovers they are realy good, Z06 has like 450whp and have good grip in the rear. So the Z06 platform is a realy good platform for drifting. But without angle kit, no bueno🤣 the stock angle is not good. Collete is doing a widebody kit on her car so you may wanna check her out.

Problem with the c4 is all the body flex. When I upgraded to a c5 I definitely felt the difference in flex starting from a dead stop.

Question, what is your deal with the handbrake? I don’t know much about drifting but you seem to absolutely hate the handbrake. Everyone uses it. The best drivers in the game. I watch their in car vids and they ALL do it. I just don’t understand the problem. All your reviews are very good and you are kind to all levels of drivers but you seem like you think drift cars shouldn’t even have a handbrake. What gives?

So just to clarify I don’t “hate” the hand brake per say. There’s just a better way to use it half the time. Like it’s a tool and it can quickly be over used like a lot of guys do. The person that can do something rad like a flick or a clutch kit and just let it flow I’ll give 100x more props then some one that just uses handbrake like every turn you know?

hand BRAKE it says it in the name. It's to slow down. Not to start a drift. It's a tool. also ull almost never see pro's handbrake entrying. while tandeming u need the handbrake tho because it gives more precision mid drift

The OG driftking is from Japan, butt the Gothfather of drifting could well be Rob Slotenmaker, a former Dutch racecar driver, famous because his drifting in racing, his carcontrol (he actualy started both the first skid training in Holland, and founded the Dutch Racing school) he and his crew did the stuntdriving in the movieclassic Le Mans. He died during a race in his Camaro back in the late '70s I believe.
