Meh, he needed time to turn around that dumpster fire in Cleveland. Same with the Pats, he needed time to bring in his guys; he said himself they were lucky to win the 2001 season superbowl.

Chr1sBrown he had 5 years in Cleveland. dumpster fire. he had 1 year in New England, 5-11 under Bledsoe. a #1 overall pick who had the first $100M contract in history. next season, they started off 1-3. they were hot garbage. trash. Brady comes in? win a super bowl. nobody in the world thought belichick was even a decent coach until he got Brady. I'm a Pats fan. dude was about to be fired by Kraft but he was saved by God, or Mo Lewis hitting Drew Bledsoe and giving room to the goat

Prime must not know about Lombard and the Packers. Just because there was only two Super Bowl for his team to play in, they won #1 and #2,. And a total of five Championship's. Well I'm not exactly sure how many Vince had, but Starr had five with Vince. So, why does Bill Belicheck get to be the greatest. The Packers were like Kareem, before Kareem. Everybody knew what was coming and yet couldn't stop the fame sweep.

I get what Prime is saying. Even if Brady wins a 6th Super Bowl, there will always be an argument because the fans will make one. That being said... I think Brady is the ONLY all-time great QB (outside of maybe Bradshaw) who has had the wonder of his success mitigated because of his coach. No one took away Montana's greatness because of Bill Walsh or Jerry Rice...
@liveinlovealways
@liveinlovealways 6 жыл бұрын
I couldn't agree more. People also forget Belichick's coaching record was 41-56 before Brady and he only had one playoff appearance. Since Brady has started: - 8 Super Bowl appearances & 5 (potentially 6) rings - 15 division titles - 12 AFC Championship appearances (8-4 record) & 7th in a row this season - 15 seasons with double-digit wins (12 with 12+ wins) - Has only missed the Playoffs once (2002) But people will still say: "Oh he's a system QB", "Patriots are cheaters", "Belichick is the reason he's good". Yet, no one says Brees is good because of Sean Payton, even though Payton is an offensive-minded coach and the playcaller for the Saints. BB is a defensive-minded coach who has nothing to do with Brady's plays, so the hypocrisy doesn't make sense lol.
@robertmadison9281
@robertmadison9281 6 жыл бұрын
Belichick is a phenomenal coach, but if you watch the games, he's usually with the defense. Brady is almost always with Josh. Yes it's Belichicks overall game plan, and he's the final say in time management, but Offensively it's Brady and McDaniels. Also, look who he's had to work with. He's played with a lot of decent players but outside of Moss, no HOF caliber players. Jordan and Pippen were both Dream Teamers, not just all-stars. 40% of the players on the court the majority of the time equated to dream team players. Also, Phil Jackson was the GOAT coach. He also won in LA. Rodman was usually the leagues top rebounder and Horace Grant was no slouch. Plus, if you are throwing in other eras, put Bill Russells era in there.
@anthonygraham8122
@anthonygraham8122 6 жыл бұрын
I think the only valid argument is the era's are different due to the rules. If brady played in Montana's error. I'm not so sure he'd hold up. People don't realize Montana was an athlete. Even marino to a certain degree. Back in those days you had to be because it was more brutal. You could hit the qb high, low, early and late. Pass interference was called differently also. So his time in getting the ball out would be slowed because of the physicality in the pass defense. I'm not so sure brady could hold up against the 85 bears or the 86 giants. I'd doubt he'd succeed against the early 90s eagles. He struggles now with just pressure. He doesn't even really get hit alot. He doesn't do well with just pressure. The games changed and hes benefited from it.
@xenteko7249

Yeah dude, and the Defence is what won the Patriots most, if not all of their rings. Everyone goes on and on about how amazing Brady is for coming back from a 25 point deficit, but they ignore that fact that the Patriots D didn't allow a single fucking point during their entire comeback. Brady's QBing was mediocre at best during most of his first 3 superbowl runs. The Seahawks lost to coaching/defensive play and the Falcons lost because they absolutely collapsed in the second half. I'm not denying Brady is an all-time great QB, but biased fanboys invent excuses to give him way more credit than he deserves for those rings.

Robert Madison Gronk is a HOF. Maybe first ballot. Montana won 2 Super Bowls before Jerry Rice with 0 HOF on offense and Ronnie Lott on defense. .... Montana won in 81 and 84 and Rice didn’t get in the NFL until 85 so WTF are you talking about Rice? Rice 6 years with Montana Gronk 8 years and counting with Brady And Welker, Moss and Edelman are all better than any receiver Montana had. Dwight Clark had 1 1,000 yard season with the GOAT QB throwing to him. Injury cut Montana’s time with the 49ers. Montana was only fully healthy 2 seasons in his career. Montana GOAT. Montana had better playoff performances than Brady in an era where a passer rating of 90 guaranteed a Pro Bowl nod and maybe an MVP; today that makes you Tyrod Taylor. Montana GOAT.

To be more specific Paul Sullivan its not how many times hes been hit it's how hes been hit and its basically the equivalent of a pillow fight for him. I think Brady is great but they have a history of cheating 6 times in big games plus its a lot easier to throw the ball when you don't have to worry about a player like Lawrence Taylor seconds away from ending your career.. So not the GOAT, watch some NFL films from back when football was real

La Day You know something? For a brief moment there, I actually thought I was talking to someone who really knew the game. But, obviously I was mistaken. You & I both know Brady is no damned cheater. Isn't that getting a little old? C'mon man, grow up just a little bit huh? There is absolutely no proof at all that Brady cheated in anything. He said he knew nothing about over or under inflated football's. I believe him, and so do most people. Jealousy is the problem, and you know that to be true! Do you really think that Tom Brady cheated for 18 seasons to throw for almost 70,000 yards? He's broken just about every record the NFL has to offer. Regular and post season. He needs just 278 yards in this Super Bowl to become the first QB to throw for 10,000 yards in the post season. He's totally obliterated every record Joe Montana ever held. By the way, I saw Montana say the other day that his own 49ers cheated regularly. Just like every team In the NFL before or since. He admitted how Jerry Rice used stick-um on his gloves. He said how his own lineman used to spray their jerseys with Pam cooking spray so the opposition's hands would slide off when they grabbed them. That's not cheating? I saw Aaron Rodgers say that he's used over inflated balls to his liking, and how he's scuffed them up too. Every team in the NFL has bent the rules one way or another, so enough about Tom Brady. I watched Howie Long and Troy Aikman tell the people that if you were a true football fan, you'd enjoy and appreciate just what Brady has been able to do throughout his career, because like the Beatles, you will never, ever see this again! So please, huh? Enough man. If you don't like Tom Brady, that's your right. Actually, I don't get that one either. He's a perfect role model if you've got any children. He doesn't drink, smoke, do drugs, beat on women, cheat on his wife, or trash talk any other player in the league. He could have gotten any amount of money he wanted. Any amount! He could have left the Patriots any time he chose after his contracts were fulfilled, but he stayed. He actually took considerably less money every year, so Belichick could pay and get the players he needed instead. Name another superstar athlete in any sport that's ever done that? It doesn't happen. You want to hate Tom Brady because he's handsome, married to a supermodel, intelligent, likeable, or any other reason that's on a personal level, that's your right. But stop the cheating crap and be man enough to give the real reason. That being that he's not the QB of your team, whoever that might be. The Patriots are a great organization, Mr. Kraft is a great owner, Bill Belichick is the greatest coach, and have the nerve to finally admit it...Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback the NFL has ever seen before. The fact remains that the important opinions are the opinions of NFL players, and we both know what they all say. Sorry he's not on your team my friend. Move up here to Boston and enjoy it, or please at least be honest with yourself...

Anyone who doesn't think Montana, Marino, P. Manning, Rodgers, Bradshaw, Staubach, Brees, Favre, etc, couldn't have done what Brady has done if they were playing under Belichick in NE is fooling themselves... Belichick is the Bobby Knight of football coaches, he takes slightly above average talent and makes them champions. If you think Belichick will quit winning in NE when Brady retires, you are a fool...
