Pro Nuzlockers VS Emerald Kaizo

Today Me and 7 of the Best Emerald Kaizo Players Race in the hardest part of the game: Magma Hideout, with ONLY 20 pokemon we selected from a draft. We had access to all items and tms up until that point of the game and we included hardcore nuzlocke rules. FIRST TO BEAT MAXIE WINS.

To defend myself a little on grunt 2: the initial plan was to kill Manectric with Lanturn to bring out Solrock going for Earthquake, which Sceptile would then switch safely into, ohko, and bring out Camerupt last (unable to explode) for Snorlax to handle. However, I got para haxed and had unlucky VA AI pivoting with Blastoise, and decided in the moment to finish it off with Sceptile instead to get some time advantage. In a prior planning for this fight, I had used Sceptile killing Manectric to bring out Solrock over Shiftry (the other boomer) due to Solrock's Will-O-Wisp, and in the moment I forgot that with Camerupt still alive Sceptile wouldn't work to bring the boomer out last. So Camerupt came out still able to explode, and I cobbled together the idea of pivoting Snorlax and Haunter to abuse Risky AI boom shenanigans on the spot. As even with Risky AI the chance of explosion comes down to 20% (since Camerupt outspeeds Snorlax) per pivot, this was hardly my plan going in, but it was the best out I could find from that position. Oh - and the reason I risked Sceptile instead of Fearow is because without Fearow, I'd have to leg it if I wanted to delete any HMs or tutor any moves, which again would be a huge time loss. Obviously it works out way worse for my box if Sceptile dies, but with Venusaur still alive I decided it was an acceptable loss. Anyway, super fun event, was nice to stream again for the first time in like half a year. Buhrito is the goat, and so are you for making this video

Lil' remember the probably best Pokemon nuzlocker of this generation had 151 try on hardcore emerald kaizo before achieving it once and for all 🤭 good luck guys!

Can someone please explain me, why they used not evolved pokemon, like Shuppet or Marshtomp? I'm not so great player lmao

My guess is niche usage from their typing. I feel it kinda make sense - take an example Shuppet. It can still do switch into Explosion. Theres otherwise only 5 Ghost type in the game(Gengar Misdreavus Bannete Dusclops Sableye) and theres 7 players so youd eventually need to draft the babies to get a Ghost type to use
