If i was that guy I would research the job board, i found bizjet jobs, pilot career center, flight safety, and apply to jobs and look into other type aircraft.

I have a BE400 Beechjet type rating from a short stint with a fractional over 20 years ago when I left flying, now trying to understand the industry as I try to return to flying. When it comes to corporate flying, and contract flying in particular, is the BE400 still a high-density aircraft in the corporate world? or has it been supplanted by more modern aircraft like the Phenom, which I see everywhere? Is it worth looking for a BE400 operator to get recurrent on that, or just pursue an operator and get another type? You mentioned "collecting types", but doesn't that mean staying current in multiple types? Thx!

Hi Guys, Great video. I'm retiring from the airlines after 35 years, in about 6 months. I'd think if I paid for my own type in a G450/550 and seek contract work there would be a fair amount. A lot of movement to the airlines, as we all know, there must be work as a contract pilot in the private sector... My F/O said he is killing it in his Gulfstream contracting gig. Anyway, please let me know if you think my plan to contract jobs on a G450/550 is sound. Herd 2K a day is STD..

CAE has the SCM program that might be good, too. Get a free type rating and best networking possible.

The thing flying after 65 is your limited mostly to the US. You could fly a G4 around the US but those planes leave for Europe and beyond frequently and as an over 65 pilot, you’re not allowed to fly in those places. Maybe a C680 for more domestic routes???

Is this more of a biz jet kind of thing? Type ratings on DC9, MD11, 727, 737, 757, 767, A300-600, A310, A330, over 30,000 hours without incident, accident or violation and just under a decade as a wide body line check airman for one of the big majors. I hear I’m pretty fun to fly with too. 😊 I’m getting fired this year for turning 65. They used to call it retirement before they took it. I’ve been doing lots of Google searching and I’m unable to find any contract jobs for someone over 65. Any help you could give me a steering in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Good evening Mike and Sean! I Hope both of you are doing well. First off, thank you for sharing your priceless and invaluable information with us. I think I can safely speak for the entire community of young aviators that watch the podcasts in saying the advice you both give helps us all out tremendously. I'm a 25 year old, 450 hour Commercial and Instrument Rated ASEL pilot out of KHEF (Manassas VA). I am in my CFI training, soon to begin my Multi-Engine training, and finishing my degree in Aviation online through Liberty University's School of Aeronautics. I haven't ruled the airlines off the table completely, but have goals of staying in the corporate world and getting typed in the G650ER/G700/& G800 when the time is right. My question is as follows, How can a corporate pilot can help to create as much value within their company as possible, as it pertains to the overall progression of the part 135 or part 91 operators they work for? This question has been on the forefront of my mind as I've tried to create a balance between my purpose and passion in life. Purpose being to fly the most technologically advanced biz-Jet aircraft I can get typed in, and my passion being to provide an exclusive, and unparalleled experience while doing so. Once again, thanks for all you do for us as aviators, and I hope to hear from you guys soon, Sincerely, Danny "Booster Seat" Albrant

Hey, I had a quick question. I am an American Muslim and I am planning on doing ATP Flight School. My question is after completing 1500 flight hours will the airlines hire me due to my race? Everyone I know is telling me since I am Muslim I won't be able to fly for the airlines. I don't want that to crush my dreams of becoming an airline pilot. I was born in the US and am just as American as everyone else. If you can shed some light on this topic that would be great as there is not a lot of information about this. Thank you guys!

That won't be an issue. I've never heard of anyone not getting a job because of religion. I don't even think they can ask that and interview. Don't be discouraged. Start flying!!

watched a bunch of your guys vids, especially the airline stuff, and I noticed you guys never talk about the union side of things. I used to know 2 guys who used to fly with the regionals, and they watched their careers/future in aviation, crumble in front of their eyes cuz they ran afoul of the unions. One of them literally got thrown out of an aircraft, just before take-off, bcuz he was trying to "jump seat" to somewhere. would be curious to get your take on unions, and maybe mention it at least in passing, so that some poor schmuck whoz about spend lots of coins in this line of work, how important it is, especially in the airline world.....
