I remember walking into the arcades and seeing the intro/attract mode of this game where Cyclops and Ryu shake hands and couldn't believe that Marvel characters were in a fighting game let alone with Street Fighter (I wasn't aware of Children Of The Atom or Marvel Super Heroes.) Kids today will never understand how cool that was at the time.

first time i saw this game was at a pizza shop across the street from my college. to this day, i smell the sauce of fresh pizza and mozarella on bread when i see the intro. and yes, this game blew me away when i first played it. it was a completely new concept of having one life, no two or three rounds, and all those super moves and air combos. incredible

That's exactly how I felt! It was unbelievable for the time. I was a big fan of both the XMEN (and Marvel in general) and SF. So seeing this game box art for the first time was just so damn cool!!!

+Giltia Well Magneto IS pretty tall actually: he's 6'2, when Ken is 5'9. Add to that the fact that he's levitating and everything... I can buy it. It probably stems from the fact that these sprites weren't originally meant to interact with each other, but it's not (that) ridiculous either, all things considered.

It's always fun to be able to see these older games get the spotlight again. That, this, Marvel vs. Street Fighter especially as well as MvC2 I put so much time into at the arcades. Brings back them feels and nostalgia trips for sure. I'd have no problem at all if these became a regular thing, instead of just a special treat from time to time. I understand though with how many other games he's playing that that is hard to do. Not to mention I realize more people come here for MKX, USF4, 3rd Strike and SF5. Some pretty sick ass combos and matches here.

I mean they already did a few of them on the PS3 so they just need to get the licensing rights to ports those over. And then they could finish up on the PS4 since the PS3 is pretty much out now and more and more people are getting into PS4 instead. Imagine the day we have digital releases of all of these fighting games with GGPO, 60 fps, 1080p, trophies, etc. Heck even if it's just remastered and only local play with a few of them being online enabled, I think people would go nuts and buy them. Voodoo Rob Are you just upset that Street Fighter V is coming to PS4 and not Xbox One? Considering that fact (well and PC too), if anything, I think Capcom decided to go with the PS4 in terms of console fighting game relreases. Xbox and Xbox 360 had SNK and got them all whereas the PS2 and PS3 had a handful of SNK titles.

Man i loved this game and its very fluid sprite movements and heck i loved once on stage here at a local X-MenvSf event i managed to do a Wolverine infinite and Cyclops’s also and the guy laughed, then after we had a brew, and became great friends afterwards. We still play it as much as we can today

Hey,Max...Her assist in Marvel Vs.Capcom is an enhanced Typhoon(Almost like a pillar) Love this game! One reason of the reasons I'll never forget it is because it was the first game that opened the door to Saturn imports.The other? The only game in existence that made me cut a class to go to the local arcade,so I could be one of the first to play it. Capcom masterpiece....:*)

Well... there are few things to consider dude: - That insta dash you mention, is called triangle jump, in MvC2 you can execute it as well, few more restrictions, but same principle. - T-Kimura looks clunky in this game, I've seen INSANE footages of him over fightcade, probably he needs more time with it... - Grabs are starters for infinites, master grabs, you have almost guaranteed a win. And yeah, hard to master this game, believe me.

this is STILL the BEST "Mahvel" game of all time. Yes, its hella broken but also hella fun. We had so much fun playing this game and 3rd strike back in the day. More fun than I'm having with modern fighting games, thats for sure. XvSF, 3rd Strike and Killer Instinct 2013 are my top 3 fighting games of all time.
