Pro player reviews the DAME 8 EXTPLY

I ended up really loving these. *Bounce Pro* is a superb cushioning technology I wish Adidas used more often. These also improve on the regular Dame 8's lockdown. The extra eyelets reduce pressure on the flimsy tongue. (The laces were really hurting when laced up tightly on the regular Dame 8.) It's also one of the very few sneakers that fit me better a half size down. I've had no traction issues (outdoor) with the solid rubber soles.

Appreciate the comments from a pro whose footwear is effectively a tool for the job. I'm a heavier player who uses basketball as a secondary form of exercise to hiking/walking, and I think the bulk and Bounce Pro cushioning of the Dame 8 EXTPLY is what drew me to it during a sale, though being my first Adidas bball shoe alongside another acquired pair, the innovative but fussy Dame 3. I need durability, support and comfortable fit my wide size 14 feet. For me, this shoe offers that in spades, and I'm still debating the pros and cons of it versus the Dame 3.

I have the dame 8 regular and i have no issues. After than i got the harden 7 and i agree it seems very simmilar just a bit lower to the ground and it has slightly better traction. Both are isnane imo

i have a friend that said the translucent rubber in the blue colorway performs better than the solid rubber on the 1st colorway that drop

the regular ones but i have played in the all green extply ones with full on green translucent rubber and they are also grip very well better than the solid sole even on dust in my experience

Thanks for the review, I have standard Dame 8s and as comfortable as they are, I feel they are a bit dead in the forefoot, where I like a bit of spring so Nike seems to be nicer for me in that regard. I also find them a bit wide in the forefoot and I feel the heel is a bit higher than the toe which feels different to my KD15, Jordan 38 and Zoom Freak 5. These Dames are now my outdoor and practise shoes. I don't feel like I'll play a game in them ever again.

I just played on the Dame Extply for the first time and felt the same line I was getting blisters. No blisters though. They did feel heavy after I got tired.

I don't know why People complain about the traci on on these. I've had them for a Monte already and i only had slipping issues the first time wearing them and afer breaking them in they wewr awesome. Also i play i ankle braces and had no fit problems in these shoes

What would you recommend for a guard, dame 8, all nitro pro, curry 9/10/11, or ja 1? I was leaning towards trying the all pro nitro because i play on dusty courts

Tbh the all pro nitros biggest weakness is dusty courts. I love the shoes but you’re sliding on dust. For dust I can recommend LeBron 20/21
