Not everyone carries a -5 handicap mate. 30 years ago I had a 120 clubhead speed. I’m gaming this club and prefer it over the Sim Max and Ping 425 Max and Mavrick Max.

My kids bought me this driver for Fathers Day and I love it! So much in fact that I ended up buying the the newer Halo Launcher XL fairway woods. Both the 3 and the 5. Those are great too! The fairway woods have these things called "glide rails" that help get the ball up off the grass. they really work great. Love my Cleveland woods

Just had a driver fitting. Tried Callaway, Cobra etc. Best results? HB Launcher Turbo. Crazy loud but it works:-) Ordering soon!

Me too. Sold my $690 Au Cobra F9 for $350 a year later and bought the Cleveland HB Turbo for $345. Much better!

This driver is nothing short of amazing. Been using it for about 2 months now. Added about 30 more carry yards to my drive and hitting tons of fairways without the slice that I had before with my older driver. Yes its loud but I'm also a baseball player who enjoys the sound very much. When you have a solid connection you'll hear a nice explosion, you know that you have launched a bomb.

Cleveland themselves say this is not a tour driver this is for slow swing speed golfers. The guys at mygolfspy did an informative article on it.

I recently purchased this driver and I absolutely smash it down the fairway. About a 10 handicap and it's a good club for me. About 10 yards further than my Ping G Driver. I disagree with some parts of the review however nobody has absolutely the same swing or has the same game so I appreciate it. I strongly recommend that you at least test it if your looking for a new driver but don't wanna spend $500 for one.

Take a look at the Mark Crossfield video comparing this Driver to a TM M6 entitled " Why pay more". Very revealing. Adjustable Drivers are not necessarily better.

I swapped my very adjustable Cobra F9 for one of these. Much better outcomes at half the price. Other comparison tests with iron Byron indicate this driver is just behind the big brands. If you have a driver swing speed 85-95 mph you would be silly not to test the Cleveland. Save the extra cash for another few clubs. Most of us older players have hearing loss anyway. It isn't meant for pro players. Loft up and hit it on the fairway; job done. To get a reliable draw I added 20 gm of lead tape to the heel side. Cheap solution for adjustability.

I use the draw version and choose to play it over my Stealth Plus. As far as the closed face, you can open it up as much as you want at address with your grip. I drive 250-260 and am an 11-12 handicap.

You do have some possibilities in a couple of zones on the bottom that allow you to stick a nice little strip of lead tape.

I play off 5 and my bad Drive was always a push, I’ve changed to this driver and never hit one better! Shapes both ways and forgives some terrible strikes... don’t believe a “better player” can’t use this club. Love the channel but a really lazy comment

It’s really cold and I have too many layers on. I hate the way it sounds and the way it sits. Ok now let’s test it! Other KZbin golfers (as good as him) have had no problem with this driver especially these high spin numbers. So yes it appears to be a lazy comment.

I don't think personally I would go for a driver you cant adjust, after having a Cobra Bio cell and King currently looking at changing due my swing speed increase meaning I am now a stiff shaft, I like the look of the new Mizuno driver you reviewed as I have just purchased the 919 hot metal Irons due to having a fitting and finding out I am an extra stiff shaft and not regular.

Very poor review started with preconceptions based on price £279 so can’t be as good and started complaining about everything it doesn’t have. You then state not the longest yet your swing speed is well down which u finally mention. It seems amazing everyone else thinks it’s great. I usually enjoy your reviews but this one is full of preconceptions which just gives a negative review from the start

These findings / views is what I hear on a daily basis from golfers, categorising models of clubs to abilities of golfers. Whether that’s price or tech that is or isn’t included. If I handed that club to 10 single figure golfers I bet my bottom dollar at least 9 won’t like the look of the massively closed face at address. Again, my findings over 22 years experience.

I do disagree with the lie though. A good golfer can easily set the head to a fade from address by hovering the club on the alignment he chooses. I see no problem for the better player.

Michael, do you not have heat available in your hitting bay? I know the garage door is open but couldn't you heat it up to where it isn't terribly cold for you? Also, this is for a mid handicapper (presumably) with it toed in (left) to help a more drawish shot and battle the slice, but you were still pushing and "fading" it to the right? I don't understand. Maybe you were not swinging freely thinking it would hook on you? I would rather you not change your swing and swing normal to see what this club can/would really do. Just my opinion.

The right misses is me reacting to the closed face. I know it’s closed so should go left but then hold the face off through impact to prevent the left miss. Yes have a heater, sometimes isn’t enough!

I am a scratch, Have tried all Pings , taylormades, and callaways. Cannot afford anymore of these. I have chased distance for the past 10 years. I guess I have spent 5,000 dollars just on drivers during that time period. I have worn out all of the moveable weights that I can handle. I would get a certain driver setup and the next day that setting would not WORK!!!! So I seen the review of one of your fellow golf utubers, and thought I would give this cleveland driver a try. I had it customed by adding one inch 9 degree in stiff flex. This diver is the easiest driver I have ever used. The face is slightly toed in, but that is much better than being 2 degree open. Now I don't have to over work my hands and arms to get the face square at impact. I am carrying the ball 270 yards in the air with about 10-20 yards of rollout. I will be using this driver for 2020. Even though I'm not a 15 handi.

Its unfortunate they have just targeted a certain golfer, i LOVED the original hibore xl. If this was adjustable, came with better shaft options, i would totally consider it.

All this talk about adjustability and fine tuning... Mark Shields did a blind test with all the different types of flex shafts... final results showed only a 2-3 yard advantage for one type of flex... No one here is a pro golfer... we don't need to be so nitpicky about fine tuning.. .. bigger problems in the world.

I love my Cleveland HB, which I used to replace a Taylor Made M1. It's just as long, but more forgiving. As for the sound, the pitch of the sound is higher than the M1, but it's not actually louder. I like it myself. It sure doesn't sound like a 1st generation Big Bertha.

Can't a 'better player' hover the club square at address or do they need an r11 type dial to help them out. Fair enough if it is internally weighted for draw bias but surely a 'better player' has the skill to hover the club square at address?

Maybe they built this club they way they wanted...and it just has that sound... if they added material it might make it a less effective club... Quit being so uppity about the sound and looks.... I had a 71 Mercedes 220d.... best car ..I've ever had...looked like a box.. slow and sounded like a marble machine..

Super closed face at address ....No Bueno! No adjustable hosel on a driver , another No Bueno. Again that is why its priced so low in comparison to the big name brands with adjustable hosels. Glued hosels in fairway metals makes sense, but not in a driver. Good review as always Mike, but I’ll take a pass..
