Anytime they say "with all due respect", what they really are saying is "I have no respect for you". If these folks didn't want to deal with the Public Defenders offices just hire your own attorney or better yet stop breaking the laws.

Mr. Stover sounds like a dangerous individual. There is no way he should be in contact with the victim of the alleged hammer beating. He continually talked over the judge and prosecutor, claiming superior knowledge of the law and even giving instructions. He could have easily been given more jail time for contempt. If he decides to go pro se without help from council, he will really be "hammering" the last nail in the coffin.

Mike, I struggle during the holidays with PTSD as it was a rough time during my deployment in 07 as well as being 3.5 years sober as of a week ago and still dealing with the wreckage of the past so to speak so the holidays have always been a difficult time. I can’t thank you enough for your daily uploads, it’s something tangible for me to look forward to and you always put a smile on my face. You never know how much of an impact you can have on someone’s life. Keep it up man!

It was interesting where he was saying he hadn't been to jail for violent offences before, and he'd always appeared in court when required and abided by his conditions, then the judge reads his history and he's got a GBH, 2 assaults, 2 counts resisting, 2 violations of his probation and a warrant for failing to appear... I’ve seen your videos when Mr Daly was representing people and he might look like a sweet grandpa (and he might be!) but he’s as sharp as the sharpest tack I’ve ever seen! That's what I was thinking. All the memorized, useless, nonsense, irrelevant salad words he told the Judge are BS. He's begging the court to release him so, he can gather some evidence. But the Judge is not buying all the BS. I think, he'll try to finish the violence and assault to his victim. No victim, no complainants and no evidence against him. He keeps on repeating every word salad in the Court, and the Judge is not having none of it.

Mr. Stover's case is very serious. It really makes no sense for him to be messing around with his life like this. He apparently can not be honest with the facts of his record in prior cases. I have serious concerns about his competency in general (competent to stand trial and aid in his defense, not competent to lead his defense and make life altering decisions).

The funny part is knowing the law is normally a good thing but needs to be tempered with context, context that could probably be gained by spending an hour or 2 with a lawyer and going over their jargon and maybe learning actually useful information. But the sites these documents and educational materials come from explicitly tell you to avoid any government entity, lawyer, judge or other court affiliate other than ones they cherry pick if any. They set up a "you vs the world" mentality for you to take on.

Although in the USA, i would trust the judical system about as far as I could throw it (meaning, not at all). Just the fact that it pressures suspects into pleas - admitting guilt in exchange of shorter sentences - is ridiculous and an affront to the concept of justice.

I may not be correct, but I believe for the purposes of bond, the judge must believe that the defendant was guilty of the crimes. For the purposes of the actual trial, the judge must be fair and impartial. The person on trial must be found guilty within a reasonable doubt. There is a difference between the judge at the bond hearing and the judge throughout the trial.

I’m a bit late to the game, but a sovcit can be identified by the use of the words “affidavit”, “statues”, for the record”, and “jurisdiction”; any of these words makes me suspicious for a sovcit. Also, making a prolonged speech of big words that make no sense is the nail in the coffin for a sovcit indicator.

The funny thing is, you do have the right to choose your own counsel or legal representation. It's called hiring an attorney and paying for your defense with your own money. If you choose to go with court appointed counsel then you don't get to pick from a menu.

Her skull spontaneously caved in. The defense can surely find some osteopath to testify that it happens all the time and there is no evidence that she was struck.

I like this judge. Straightforward, he's not too soft or difficult. He gets done what he needs to do, regardless of who is trying to thwart him.
