I have family who worked for USPS for most of their lives and they do not put up with their employees doing stuff like this. If they find out he did this while driving a car, he will get fired really quickly. They really like to have good relations with local police. That said, this cop is amazing. The troll is so great through the whole thing. I would have snapped pretty early on with this guy being condescending and interupting me repeatedly. How do they expect anyone to take them seriously when they play this fantasy world game about California being a republic of Morocco? It's so stupid! And he's so confident about that he's talking to the cop like he's stupid. This is the kind of guy who just never stops talking. I wish I'd heard of the Moops when I decided to vacation in Morocco. I could have stayed at home and saved myself a lot of time and money. In the old American consulate building in Tangier, they've made a museum dedicated to U.S.-Moroccan relations. I have always been baffled why "Moors" choose Morocco. So, I decided to look up the 1787 treaty and do a trivial amount of research. 1 - The treaty goes back to recognition of the US by Morocco dating back to 1777. Morocco is the first country to recognize the US. Not exactly allies, but have had cordial (ish) relations for a long time. 2 - The treaty of 1787 expired and was replaced by a similar treaty in 1836 which included an evergreen clause. In other words, it automatically renews unless one or both of the parties decide not to. 3 - This treaty was all about the naval and commercial interaction of the two countries. So, you will find commerce and vessels all over the place in the text of the treaty. 4 - The parties to the treaty are the United States of America and the Empire of Morocco. So, I guess that these "Moors" are claiming that their cars are their vessels of Morocco and are doing commerce with the United States as a legal basis? I mean it is hysterically wrong, but I am guessing that is where the idea came from?

Another point to add: Morocco was a pirate nation at the time, which was trying to become a commercial nation. They actually held US merchant ships hostage in order to get a treaty with the US. Morocco was one of the barbary pirate nations, which was a thorn in the side of all nations trading in the Mediterranean.

An interesting fact is that to work for the USPS one needs to be a US citizen or permanent resident. The Moroccan treaty he is referring to expired after fifty years. It was replaced with another treaty that expired fifty years later in 1887. After that, the US was so powerful it no longer needed a treaty with the country of Morocco to persuade the King of Morocco to dissuade pirates from attacking US ships, kidnapping, and enslaving Americans. The only thing pertaining to indigenous rights in the treaty was a clause that said that any Americans on Moroccan soil who captured a Moroccan had to turn the Moroccan over to the government of Morocco for prosecution and the same applied to any Moroccans pursuing anyone onto American soil.
