Me again. I made my first Walking Liberty Half Dollar ring!! Man was I nervous! These coins aren't cheap! I also wear a 10 1/2, I was looking for the fat tire shape. I went three sizes bigger to a 13 1/2 and started reducing until I was at 10 1/2 and had the rounded shape on the reed end. By this time the opposite side of ring was know bigger so I reduced it to same size as reed end and wha-la!!!!! Theres my fat tire look!! Jason I can't thank you enough for all your help!! When I first started making rings, I always ended up with the angled shape rings and I didn't know how to get the different shapes like a real ring. Thats when I ran across your manual! And also thanks for answering all my questions, I keep asking. You responded very quick! You are the man!!

As always very clear. I still need to land me one of those half and dollar reducer dies. New Zealand is too far to make it viable. Love your work

+Jason Works or anyone who knows, but once you've used the liver of sulfer, do you need to trash it and start fresh each time or can you save it for reuse each time needed like I do with my Sparex 2?

Hi Jason, at one point you reject a reduction die 25%, what did you exchange it for, and are these described as die angles? thanks Jaxx

Hello JT. I actually use a paper towel on the ring stretcher. Cheap and clean. I use to use UHMW slick strips. Too much work

Hey Bro. Not sure if you can answer this question or not, but thought I'd ask anyway. What kind of stock material are your compression dies made of? I'll be turning my own as soon as I decide on which lathe I'm going with. I want to toy around with die angles and want to make some for smaller sized coins too. And also, if you know where to acquire such materials, I'd be grateful, as always. Love your work. Oh, and before I forget, that ring stretcher maintenance vid you did was just what I needed. Back to smooth as snot and operating like new again. I was almost ready to buy a whole new press, so yer vid saved me a handful of cash. Thanx Man. I owe you

+Jasons Works Turns out I never did get around to turning any dies. I played around a little on a small lathe, just enough to know that this wasn't my thing. ended up taking the lathe back. I couldn't figure how I was going to produce enough to pay for it. was fun checkin it out though

Jason - in your other video you placed the coin reed side down while stretching the coin on the enlarger/reducer. Now you are putting the reed side up - I guess to more quickly expand the narrow end. Do you alternate that or is there an advantage one way over the other? Great video series!

Great vid, but have one comment. When you got to 10.5 with the reeded side of the coin, the thinner cut edge looked to be much larger. Maybe 2 or 3 sizes. Do you explain in the manual how to get both sides of the ring closer to same size? Some seen have a rounded look. R their more tools involved?

Jason, Don C. here, how about a video using the small reduction die. Is this used to fold coin down or used in ring sizing? And if for sizing what will you end up with? I can't see getting a half or a morgan in this dye.

So with that tape on the ring stretcher there’s no need for hammering I take it and are all the dies one might need in the original 4 pack that you sell on Etsy ? And what size hole is in that Morgan a 1/2 or 5/8 every time I stretch a Morgan it closes on the Mandrel at 18

Jason, when you put the ring on your finger, it appeared to have a gap between your finger and the ring.

Thank You for all your videos. This week I've learned that it may not be possible to anneal too often, it IS possible to anneal too hot... I heated a silver half dollar too hot, and it just folded over in half. What advice can you give for reducing the reeded edges of the heavier coins? I feel like I'm having to use excessive amounts of force, even on a freshly annealed coin, to get any reduction at all on the heavy edge.

Hi Jason, another great video mate, with your protective tape on your ring sizing machine, where could I get some from? I went to your etsy page and it says you don't deliver to Australia. Any help would be great. Will :)

Out of curiosity, how long does the liver of sulfur patina last on a coinring? Will it wear off quickly or not at all? Will it last longer on a silver ring than a regular nickel/copper ring? I realize you are busy so if you can't answer it's no problem. I enjoy the videos, thank you!!

Jason, I thought you went 3 sizes bigger on the stretch, when you wanted to make a tire shape ring and less stretching when you wanted the straight look. Didn't your ring after going three sizes bigger, end up being the flat style? Correct me if I"m wrong.
