I've never really fished off shore. Mostly because I don't own a boat. But I'm confident that when the day comes I won't have any problem locating and catching fish thanks to all your videos. Hands down one of the best informative KZbinrs out there. Love the channel keep it up

I had an awesome fall and winter crappie fishing season on my river after I realized if I could find at least 12' of water on the middle 1/3 of a slough that it held crappie. This video made me think of creeks in 1/3rds.

Once again you are one of the best I ever watched an listened to , I think you should be a pro or just do seminars, you are a walking around fish of knowledge fellow. I do have a question I fish Wilson lake a lot Florence Alabama Tennessee River chain , it’s a very deep lake with big points an lots of short an long coves an learned to fish it with crankbaits spinnerbaits grubs an so on , but’s been a struggle in the main river points this winter an the fish are suspending a lot , an they tough to catch any suggestions would be good , guess I’m gonna have to go old School hair jig an grubs maybe spoons thanks again.

Super job as usual. Soon I will be having some video lessons with you for my lakes up here in the Pacific Northwest. Cannot wait to see how you would breakdown our natural lakes with no shad for bait migration. Again excellent video. You made the right decision to quit the corporate world.

Your videos are so insightful, thank you! I kayak fish a 1 acre pond with clear water. Average depth is 5-7 feet but the dam end has max depths of 14-17 feet. Do you think bass will hold that deep in a pond ? I wasn’t sure if vertical jigging/spoon with sonar would be a viable technique for a pond, never hear about it much.

If you're ever in Arizona I'd love to chat with you about this and some of your other videos you have posted and possibly ride with you. I've fished my whole life and just getting serious about tournament fishing by I can't seem to figure this out in the smaller Az lakes. Granted they are tough lakes as it is and I've got outdated fish finder equipment but I can't seem to figure out the fish here and where an when they travel. Be awesome if you had an email so a guy could ask you some questions. Thanks for the videos and keep em coming, lots of interesting info.

Great video Johnny. When it comes to the spawn do you feel that temperature or photoperiod plays a more important role? Or do you think it’s a combination of both? Do you think that moon phase has any play into the spawning cycle?

can you apply this to a pond? if so, how?
@njstorozuk4 жыл бұрын
Probably not. I only say that because ponds are usually circular. Structures in water and the depth of water is probably the main factors of ponds

Where did you get the number 40% from? How do you know that 40% of bass stay in the creek year around. What studies can you point to or is this something you heard from someone, and you take it as gospel?
@crashflowfpv4841 Жыл бұрын
5:30 - 5:35 if you were to actually listen to the video your watching you’d understand why he used the 40%. 😳 Also I’ve got no studies to show you what I’m saying is factual, but I can assure you this is the truth. You’ll just have to take my word for it, you know as gospel…

Amazing. Very well done. But all the advise in the world wont catch fish. Neither will all the toys. Time on the water will teach you to read the water. Stick to your strong lures. The one that's working for you. Find what they like and hone in. Most important thing is the spot on the spot. Find that and it always work. Pros know what I mean. Compare new methods to old and well they both work but only the old is reliable. Expierence will teach you the basics always prevails in the long run. I have 40 years experience and I live on the hardest lake in the world. At least within 5 states in the southeast. Any guesses. Tight lines.

Hehe. Ole Ricky Clunn, I know for a fact Buck Perry showed him the truth. Most people’s thoughts on bass fishing are hilariously wrong.
@jerrylanglois78925 жыл бұрын
When did or does clunn or any other bass pro mention buck perry showing the '' truth '' about fishing ?... and when do you see pros using perry's lures ? You are obviously a '' spoonplugger '' , right ?
@tylervdb5 жыл бұрын
I am. Buck was one of the true pioneers to the sport. Too many people focus on lures, it’s just a shame. They are just a tool. No one can deny Ricky’s one the best tournament anglers of all time. What you don’t know about are the letters to Buck from Ricky thanking him time and time again. You should study the book. Then do the study course. It might change your life.
@jerrylanglois78925 жыл бұрын
@@tylervdb Oh, I did it all, the study, the application and dedication for yrs. until I found out the hard way I fell for a big scam. Buck was nothing more than a fraud and con man. He never proved his '' findings '' and modern tracking techniques have proved him wrong... but I'm not going to try to force my opinions on you. One question : are you consistently making '' lunker catches '' because of his '' teachings '' ?... and show me the PROOF of clun's acknowledgements to perry.
@tylervdb5 жыл бұрын
I am and have many around me to thank. I need to show you nothing. Just know, proof is definitely out there.
@jerrylanglois78925 жыл бұрын
@@tylervdb You aren't going to show me any proof because you can't... just like perry, don dickson and all his other '' top spoonpluggers '' can't. There is nothing to show proof wise or even any good evidence wise, just a bunch of empty, extraordinary claims. I challenged perry 45 yrs. ago to come to my area -- toledo bend, lake fork, sam rayburn, etc., and demonstrate his '' findings '' and he just ignored me. He ignored me because like you, he had nothing to show for his'' amazing skill and knowledge ''... and that's why for 73 yrs. '' spoonplugging '' has remained a very small cult and has never caught on in any big way -- it has nothing to show -- just endless '' classes, books, instruction, diagrams, lectures '' not to mention lures and other equipment...all to hustle naive, uneducated anglers ( like I once was ).

Johnny, not to be a jerk, but if you want to add real credibility to your '' instructional videos '' you need to prove your expertise in actual competitive, tournament situations.
