The fact of the matter is that Marshall is talking about draft, where it is unlikely that you'll have multiple Crypt Ghast, or even one. If you do, then maybe playing Debt to the Deathless as a mana sink is a good idea (though you'd need a lot of swamps to make use of Crypt Ghast, restricting your colors). So in absence of insanely large amounts of mana, Wind Drake is almost always going to be better. In general, an expensive spell that does nothing to the board state is not something you want

Actually, you HAVE to regenerate pre-destruction. When it looks like people are regenerating at the same time as the creature is destroyed, actually they are regenerating 'in response', i.e. before the destruction effect resolves. Supreme Verdict does not destroy creatures which have regenerated (if it did, it would specifically say 'they cannot be regenerated').

I understand your point, I was thinking more generally. For instance, for sealed, i'd say Debt is better, but wind drake is, i agree, way better for draft. In constructed Debt is also better, though i doubt it is strong enough to be playable, thanks to the second W in its CMC.

At 13:53 off of the Jace -2, Budde took the Far // Away, shouldn't the other 2 cards have gone to the bottom of the library? To me it looked like they went to the graveyard?

At about 15 minutes Kai used Jace -2, muller put a pile of sin collector supreme verdict in 1 pile and far/away in another. Kai took far/away and put the other pile IN HIS GRAVE YARD, made me go "NOOOOO :("

12:32 seems better to double block and force him to sac e1 to regen, basically trading the 2nd sin collector for e1. then verdict, devour, etc. become much better draws facing a single varolz. you know that e1 will become a threat later because of the scavenge, so seems better to trade for it then.

Why is Muller able to sac his creatures to protect varolz? Can you regenerate pre destruction, and if so, wouldn't he still be destroyed by the supreme verdict? and if it's after varolz has been destroyed, wouldn't the creatures also have been destroyed?

Playing two Crypt ghasts turn 4, then 5, will make debt to the deathless a lot better. If Wind Drake gets to atack three times you're very lucky. The thing at the end seems quite far fetched to me, even though i dont mind the comparison...
