Everyone knows y'all train for this so why was everyone worried about DK running? He wasn't going to damage y'all sport. 3. Math is math. Why wouldn't he do ok? He can run 21 mph and he ran track in highschool. Once again I reiterate track needs eyes on it's sport. 4. I love track and field. Don't get me wrong. NBA players feel the young generation aren't tough like they were. Two things all sports need are evolution and exhibitions. All sports evolve. That's the easy one. But what folks forget is all sports have used exhibitions to promote their sports to wider audiences. Muhammad Ali fought a wrestler. Hulk Hogan fought a boxer and made Rocky to help his sport grow. Track stars have raced animals and cars. Golf has pro ams. DK woulda been disrespectful if he looked like crap and didn't train but 5 days. He didn't. Explain how running very fast straight doesn’t make you a great athlete? You have to have explosion, technical superiority, ability to maintain speed. Power in each step taken, plus great reaction time to have a good block start. I’m sorry but that last take is by far one of the stupidest things I’ve heard about track. It’s like discrediting Usain Bolt for running 9.5. No one can just go out and run very fast like these athletes. Lines are drawn between great and elite athletes. All I stated above makes that.
