Whenever they teach me something new in college, I always search for your videos on that subject. You're a treasure.

It is obvious that he enjoys teaching things. I think he even explicitly called it his passion a few years ago.

Hi if we have two events take A and B with known probabilities but no information or probability about their intersection or dependence could we calculate their intersection probability. Take a bucket of 50 marbles we are told 12 are red and 7 are numbered, we are asked to calculate the probability of selecting a marble that is both red and numbered in one trial, have we enough information to do so or would we need to know if the events are mutually exclusive or not. Thanks for lectures
@MichelvanBiezen3 жыл бұрын
You would need to know how many of the red marbles were also numbered.

can we say that these subsets are the events of the sample space?

Hello, In the video instead of "Complement", you have used "Compliment" it might be a spelling mistake. Thanks.

I think the compliment is in correct...If i understand correclty, A^c means that All elements NOT in A. That will give A^c = { 2, 4} however, you have A^c = {2,4,6,8,10}. I think you looked at subset B instead of C.
@topaussiemezza57156 жыл бұрын
No, he didn't make a mistake.
@Al-Suzuki3 ай бұрын
I know it’s been 6 years and you already forgot about that, my my answer and reply is for those who study now: A^c, the c here is not the subset C but the c is the symbol for compliment. And what the teacher did is correct, all the numbers that are not in A are in B, well a better way to say that is all the numbers that are not in A are in the universe(sample space) which is equal to B at the same time

Sir why you put D in B in case of difference?
@Peter_19865 жыл бұрын
The B is shaded, and this means that you have got all of those elements, and the D is unshaded, which means that you _don't_ have those elements. So you essentially put D inside B to show that you take away the elements in B that also exist in D.

hey sir, why is the sample space have same symbol as ohm's resistor symbol?
@MichelvanBiezen6 жыл бұрын
There are just a limited number of symbols and many are used many times in multiple different situations.

It is arbitrarily chosen to be that in order to show the definitions of the terms explained in the video.
