Well, I’m one minute video and all I can say is I’m on probation for the first time ever in my entire life for a technicality and my probation officer is about 25 years old and I’ve never met anybody with such a power trip who didn’t eventually soften up, because I am literally the nicest person you’ll ever meet never been in trouble in my entire life, and I literally worry about her, finding a reason to arrest me and have me thrown into jail every single time I see Her

Only comments that are supportive of the opinions in this video are permitted? This is a perfect example of why people have issue with Probation/Parole employees or law enforcement as a whole. They don't want to hear the narrative, they want to dictate the narrative.

No, every opinion is allowed. But I don't want a bunch of negative ones under THIS particular video. I want to highlight the positive stories because the negative ones ALWAYS seem to get so much attention across multiple mediums. 🤷🏾‍♀️

@@YourFavoritePO At 54, I haven't seen any positive experiences with probation employees. (I have an issue with calling anyone in law enforcement an officer.) It's my understanding probation is there to keep track of probationers and help them get through the process. Every probation employee I've seen all over the U.S. seems to be dead set on violating probation/parole over those they are assigned. My brother-in-law was working on a car. Electrical issues. He used a knife to strip some wires, set the knife by the battery when his PO walked up. The PO arrested him for a parole violation for the knife. No discretion. 0-100 in seconds. No history of violence. I was on probation once in my life as a minor. I did everything correct and got off probation. 3 months later I was arrested for a probation violation because my PO failed to do any checkups while I was on probation. Luckily the judge tossed the violation and scolded the PO office. Good luck finding positive experiences. A unicorn might be easier to find. I understand what you are hoping to accomplish and wish you success. 👍

I thank God that I have a great PO. I would never do anything to violate it. I try to be as transparent and up front as I can be. She is requesting that I can get early discharge. I pray that I will. 🙏

Been only probation for about 6 years now get off in about 8 months. The only negative experience that I've had have been over my own negative actions. Once i started acting right and quit using drugs thingd have been wonderful i have no complaints. Not saying all probation officers are good people but ive had 6 different officers since i got clean and acting right all 6 of them where great. All my friends that are on probation all say the same as me but one. But that one friend will tell you whats going on ten times and all ten times you get a different story meaning he isnt being honest. He doesn't do right and plays victim theough the whole situation he says there all bad but he's the one doing wrong they're just reacting to his actions. Probation is truely one of those cases you make your own bed

I started probation on January of this year, and ive been honest about my use to my p.o sense the beginning and its now august and shes just NOW getting enforcing me to get treatment. Even though ive been using this entire time ive alwYs checked in every month and been honest & she hasnt even mentioned violating me! Honestly really is key. And communication is also key! ( im on probation for possession of fentanyl/ personal use)

I’m a PO. My advice would be to go in without presumptions, be respectful, and above all else don’t break the law. PO’s Will generally be ‘stricter’ with career criminals for obvious reasons. Sometimes there r mandatory custodies by DOC policy as well, so the agent can’t avoid sending one to jail. This should always be a reminder that people need to be mindful in who they associate with. I can honestly say I hate sending people to jail and very much hate proceeding with revocation. It comes with the job though.
