As if riding across Africa by yourself wasn't impressive enough, now we get to see you take part in your first rally. And what happens? Well you are passing other riders (on bigger bikes) right and left (little Savannah is doing soo good!). You are solving problems on the fly (like finding petrol in the middle of nowhere, and fixing punctures like a pro). Further more you are always trying to help your fellow competitors as much as you can, and all this while being...well, while being the same calm, sweet and funny Noraly we all love to watch every day when there is no competition, just calmly riding alone (no stopping to look at the local geology or wildlife this week though, that's a bit disappointing...😉😁 ) As others have already said to you, much respect. Go Noraly Go!❤👍

Take a good look at 24:00 minutes... This is what exhaustion looks like. Exhaustion not suffered, nor even endured, but hard-earned. A toy manufacturer should make an "Itchy Boots" doll ( with a companion "Savannah") to inspire small children to do what others may think impossible but they wish to try. Don't know how many hundreds of episodes of IB I've watched, but this is my favorite just for its demonstration of grit and perseverance. Love, peace, prayers and safety to you Noraly!

I experienced riding like this when riding to The Gambia from The Netherlands on a XT600 in a group for charity (through the sahara from Morroco, Mauretania, Senegal to Gambia). Long days, hard tracks, but rewarding when you're done every day after sometimes 12-14 hours in the sadle. I'm jealous! Boy you are really impressive to watch. I can definitely see your confidence has risen 10 fold. You were negotiating those sand roads like a champ. Nothing holding you back. The fact that you still managed to get in within daylight and obviously some much faster cars were just arriving too. Repairing the tire puncture yourself, although I get the feeling it’s not your first time, was a setback as you stated. Overall I think you’ve more than proven you’re up for the task. Well done Noraly.👍👍🇨🇦

Totally impressed. Your riding skills would put you up front in any rally with a big competitive bike. You go girl!

Oh yeah no doubt about that. If she was on a bigger bike she would be blowing all the other riders away, easily. Respect!

Absolutely brilliant achievement - you say Savannah made it, but only because of you Norlay. An outstanding ride - sheer determination, riding skills extraordinaire, an inner survival instinct few can match. One more stage to go but you have exceeded all expectations of yourself. Congratulations 🎉

I’m exhausted just watching this video and all the sand. Your ability to find fuel is amazing, going all the way back to your riding in Central Asia.

Do you realize how good your skills have gotten. You are extremely fast and well controlled. Very impressed. What grit and determination. Nothing stops you. On such a long day, to get a puncture in the front must have been draining. But you overcame all obstacles. Noraly, you are amazing.

Had to take this line from "AgentJayZ". "Dirt all over your face, and blackened hands, you are more beautiful than ever! I can not thank you enough for living the real world of 2 wheels and showing us the "Good", the "Bad" and the "Ugly". The ugly means a flat or running out of gas or dropping your ride! You're a 2 wheeled angel even with a dusty face! In my eyes you WON THIS RACE!!!! Q". How did you handle the dust from vehicles in front?" Did you wear a bandanna ? For breathing or something else? I road in MOAB with friends and the dust was insane!

Watching you handle all those issues; searching for gas all day, a leaking auxiliary tank, a flat tire, a missing tool, a small cc bike, eating sand kicked up at you, dealing with such a long day, just to name a few, which would have been TOO much for SO many others...was just an awesome display of your tenacity and character. You are an inspiration to me, Noraly. I’m also quite sure that for so many of your viewers driving a desk and me, you breathe a passion for getting out and doing things…!

Full Throttle Savannah 😲 You were literally flying on that sand! I felt like I was in a video game. You did so good even with that tire puncture and leaking gas can. We are so proud of you 👏👏👏

Noraly, what you're doing in the Kalahari Rally is just amazing. What an effort in this stage 5, truly impressive and you're doing better than most everyone. I really admire you. Cheers from Chilean Patagonia.

You are an absolute legend! Completely fearless and continually upbeat no matter what is thrown at you, and those skills... Uplifting and life affirming just watching you. You have got me in trouble though, as after a 16 year lay off from riding motorcycles I'm now determined to get a new one and ride the TET though Portugal next summer.

Shocking how badly planned the rally is, locked gates, cars going the opposite direction of the bikes and fuel not where it should be. Amazing riding and overcoming the setbacks, well done 👏

I lived in India many years ago and think the disorganization of the rally is likely part of the experience of being in Africa. It is what made me feel more alive. Everything is not nice and neat which also allows for a kind of anything goes attitude which can be much more engaging and freeing. So much is sanitized, prettified, and rule dominated in my country (US) . There is a kind of tension to not break the rules that can take all the fun out of life because you are disengaged from the actual moment.

If you think participating in a rally like this is difficult, you should try organising one ;)

@@millieblu2348 I live in South Africa, events that aren't government planned are better run than that.
@seanwilson73343 жыл бұрын
@@bandobandit353 I understand that people errors can happen like forgetting to open the gates and fuel trucks not getting to the locations but cars going in the opposite direction they should have seen that would not work and is very dangerous in the planning before the event.

There she is!! KRXX21-5 The big stage has finally arrived.... 800 Klicks, wow, if you don't get lost.. extra 24 klicks, but you filled up. Your stratagies usually are pretty good. GO GO #28.. Beautiful sunrise, riding into the sun. Meeting up to the group, looks like your decesion was a good one... well done. You do such a good ride surfing threw the sand. Less power, more skill. First flat tire... pretty lucky being the first after five stages. Compliments on your hands on.. impressed the little girl watching you. Maybe a future Kalahari rider. Everything topped up... fuel and water. What was that extra plastic bottle by the next make shift tank up... was that used as a funnel. Great how you check on your co-riders ...keep them moving. Bravo Savannah and Frl N passing some bikes. Hope you missed the dog... NO no no, might be better using your horn. Good going found another petrol station... What a massive tank truck. Good going, you made it with all the additional challenges. Good going. Face it, you had a good day. Maybe, could be better... Yep, maybe. Next time.. don't forget to get a gasket for your spare tank. Rest well, ride careful, stay safe. Off to the last stage ...

Impressive Stage - Long - Fuel savvy - Some proper sand tracks - Puncture repair - smart planning to get you through without fuel support vehicles. You twisted Savanah's ear and she held up really well. Well done!!!
