Problems while Moving into an Abandoned Off-Grid Homestead in Outback Australia

Moving into the abandoned homestead comes with a few problems. We don't have electricity out there and the water pipes have been cut. Now it's time to replace the broken pipes and try getting the water connected again.

It beats living in a camper. The Australia outback has many a cruel features to contend with, and a roof over your head with running water would be a paradise. It is truly a real treat watching you hunt for gold and I am amazed at how happy one can be with digging in the ground everyday hunting for the mother load. In that area of the world, things are hard to come by. However, one thing for sure, once you have something, it can be with yours forever.

Wow, massive project you have undertaken. Reminds me of when I bought a 100+yo farmhouse and moved it 50kms to my bare block. Mummified possums in the cupboards with big jars of pickled onions dated 40y before. Didn’t dare try them..but the possums stewed up real tasty!🤣
