Nice one, I think you can easily limit one curve to one system by using Effector collections, but the Maximum Distance is a useful option too

Thanks, the tutorial is great! I just wanted to ask if there's a way to: 1) properly hide the plane out of render in Cycles as it is visible (normal "hide" also hides the spheres that are being generated out of the plane). 2) Apparently in Cycles there are very noticable blackenings in places where spheres collision is the most dense, which is not appear in eve. Is there a way to fix that? Many thanks in advance!

Hey there! I've been following your tutorials, and they've been super helpful. I've run into a bit of a snag though. I created a bezier curve and set it up as a curve guide for particles. Everything works fine until I try to edit the curve in Edit Mode. For some reason, the particles stop following the curve. Any idea what might be causing this issue? Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!!

Same problem in Blender 4.0.2. Solution: switch direction of the bezier curve. Select BezierCurve > Edit Mode > Right Click > Switch direction

I didn't know that is how you make particles follow a curve but how do you make forcefields filter what to affect? Is it even possible?

watch till the end, I am getting into how to make more than 1 curve on a scene affect only the particles within proximity, as for the force fields, I will try to explore that further, because for now I'm not sure ^^

I cannot for the life of me figure out why at 5:00 your sphere goes transparent with Alpha blend and mine does not, like it shows up in when rendered, not just the viewport. Incredibly frustrating cause I cant move past it without a ton of orbs showing with the petals

@@Simon3D Messages aren't sending to you, not sure if it's a setting or what. But my workspace looks exactly like yours, which makes me think theres some other setting that's different causing the sphere to be grayed out

Hmm i have my twitter set to receive all messages so not sure what could be the problem. As for the shader make sure that what goes into the mixshader factor is in a range between 1 and 0. So just for good measure you can put there a math node set to multiply by 1 and check the clamp box

@@Simon3D I was able to fix what was wrong with my twitter so I sent a message. My issue is actually different than i specified. While my spheres didn't go away like yours, it is more see through than before, cause I can see the grid lines in the viewport, however they do still show up in render, and in the viewport. It's like a 50% transparency rather than yours which looks like 100%

It should work fine but in order to get the glow you will need to use the glare in compositor ^^
