That dumping truck at the beginning was washed right before filming to look good, ain't no way it's ever that clean otherwise 😂

Oh, it may well be that clean most of the time. Here in Japan, many truck drivers really take care of their vehicles and keep them clean.

Having lived in Japan, I can assure you that an awful lot of them will *start* each day that clean. They won't often *finish* the work day that way, but before they stop for the night they will be back to that clean.

Shot blasting? Why would you want a rougher surface? It is just cosmetic or is there a mechanical reason for it?
@Curt_Sampson
@Curt_Sampson 27 күн бұрын
So that it's less slippery in the rain. As you can see at the end, these blocks are commonly used for surfacing pedestrian areas and the like here in Japan.

Plastic packaging? For bricks? Seems wasteful. It would be nice if the bricks could be stacked in such a way that they do not need a wrapping.
@Curt_Sampson
@Curt_Sampson 27 күн бұрын
That's what I was thinking, too. But I can't think of a better way to keep bricks from slipping out should the stack get a good knock from the side. And perhaps, in terms of overall plastic use per person, it's not so bad. After all, these bricks are shipped just once, installed, and then, in even a moderately busy area, literally millions of people may walk over them before they need to be replaced.That's not a lot of plastic per person, as compared to the amount of plastic those people are probably using for shopping bags. So probably better to focus on reducing disposable shopping bags first.
