That grease fitting you were trying to adapt with a zerk fitting is called a grease or oil cup. You pack the cup with grease or oil & just give the cap a twist occasionally. That will force the lubricant into the bearing or bushing or whatever. Old school stuff.

What an awesome amount of work in this video. Even at mega speed on the time lapse, I'm exhausted watching this. And the 'more snow on the wood than wood on the wood' was obvious and justifying the stratospheric frustration. But, it's done! And you have an amazing amount of sellable wood cages. Despite the windy wind and the snowy snow and icy ice, you have done a mega amount of productive work. Kind of works work. Maybe translating to money mon. thanks for a great video.

The button is a short to ground. So you can delete it and just touch the cable to ground. As for the belt jumping off, you should make a guide to stop the oversize belt from coming off.

Thanks for the timelapse, OMG us humans are industrious, funny moments. I was thinking that you could build an extra large and long shed not only to house the bulldozer but also the firewood. The height of the bulldozer would be enough to stack the firewood 2 high with clearance. You could build the shed in such a way that you could add more sections to it as you need. Cheers

The thing on top of the bearing that you drilled and tapped is a grease cup. You fill both haves with grease and every so often give it a turn to force the grease into the bearing. Good way to improve on it.

Screws are good for tension, Nails are good for shearing. Use screws when you need to press big surfaces together, use nails for everything else.

I think with the grease fitting you are trying to put a grease nipple in, you fill the cap with grease, and by screwing it down it forces the grease in to the bearings. So the cap works as a grease reservoir and every time you use the machine you give the cap a twist.

Hope your planning to charge a deposit on your firewood cubes, given the time taken to make them. It will encourage the customer to return it, or come back to you to get it refilled. Also if the finger remover 2000 is the second best thing you have made, it begs the question what for you is the best thing you have made? Your neighbours offer maybe was only to suit him, but it sounds like you get a pretty sweet deal too 😎

@@Ants_Pants I'd guess its only in the winter months that the taller trees and the low angle of the sun effect the energy generation from the panels, so it might not be until next winter is approaching it becomes important to him again, But hopefully I'm wrong and its sooner, that those problem trees are brought safely down.

if you added the pieces you put on the very bottom, perpendicular to the main three boards, then your forks would be captured by the pallet. Less chance of tipping.

Hey Mr Pants, nice video! I love firewood. In the U.K. you buy it in builders sacks like what sand is delivered in or similar. It comes a one cubic metre and various in price from £50 for bag of crap mixed softwood and hardwood or £90 for oak logs.

Thanks for showing the work you did with the ”finger remover”. My dad is converting a electric saw to use a Honda petrol engine instead. The pulleys that you use is a good clue on how to gear it and it seems very useful. I have only used chainsaw before but looking forward to use this kind of saw instead.
