It’s still team dependent because the weapon itself isn’t exactly slayer material, even though you can splat with it, don’t expect consistent splats. It’s a support and it does that really well, and needed a kit like that and vanilla Splat Jr. to be a better support. Every weapon will have its strengths and weaknesses, so sometimes I find it a little annoying if I’m being honest that people complain a lot about “something being too broken”. It’s not a healthy mindset to have in a game like this that also has dualies which can dodge roll, blasters with indirects, chargers (nuff said), etc.

I was initially not feeling the torpedo on dapples since its do easy to negate. but i think im starting to warm up to it. Its nice to be able to chuck it long distances at the sniper who isnt paying attention. and feels like a really good distraction tool. especially when used like a killer whail. They can either aim for me, aim for the bomb, or back up. they back up, i can either chase or back off myself, stale mate. they shoot me, well if I hit them once the bomb may be able to finish them off. They shoot at the bomb, well... *EVERY SECOND YOURE NOT AIMING AT ME, IM ONLY GETTING CLOSER*

Personally I've been using LOTS of carbon deco and luna neo. They're just to much fun, and hammer isn't the bad on Luna because I used and had major success with sploosh for a few weeks prior to the update which is also a short range weapon with hammer...

One annoyance about the line marker with bucket is that, last I checked, the line marker doesn’t actually go where your cursor is pointed when angling your camera farther up or down. It makes it pretty awkward to have to adjust your aim and know if you’ll with the marker, especially since bucket is a weapon that shoots over edges more than usual.

I had a game of tower control in series anarchy where there was a menace of a carbon roller deco player in the opposing team. Iirc their kit was based around a strong swim speed and they played using the burst bomb combo, they speedy threat. My team still won by taking the lead and maintaining that to the end but it wasn't easy.

I struggle with brush mashing too tbh, I usually will remap L to ZR as well (and set L to the screenshot button or smth) and I'll alternate between ZR and L to pretty much mash full speed. It's a funky rhythm to get down, because if you go too fast you'll actually flick slower, but it makes brush very fun when you do.

My 2 fav kits this patch were Zinc and Carbon. Zinc I was hyped for right from the trailer and it did not dissapoint (though I ended up using it in a different mode than I planned) And as a Dynamo kain I've never much cared for Carbon, even the carbon with bombs in 2 was only decent, but this time around im branching out and have found it a fitting alternate for Rainmaker (alongside the L-3)

As a Jr main I can say I absolutely LOVE this kit, it is extremely powerful.. but honestly I don’t think it’s better than the original. Bubbler is better or equal to wave breaker in nearly every game mode except rainmaker. Torpedo spam is the one thing “op” about it but even then it’s just because most players don’t shoot it down because they either don’t notice, or run away. players just need to shoot torpedo, then the kit is equal to original IMO Edit: also this is a bit of a smaller equilibrium, but you can’t throw two torpedos at the same time with jr

I think Bubbler is overrated. Players are getting good at shredding it and it’s useless against so many specials: Booyah Bomb, Inkstrike, Wave Breaker, Killer Wail, Reefslider. Crab Tank can quickly destroy it. Reefslider and Ink Vac are also better at destroying it now. I’ve been saying it’s not that good since launch and I think people are starting to see that with the popularity of new kits/specials this season.

Yeah, other specials kill it, but that still forces the enemy to use their special. It’s an even trade. I didn’t say bubbler was way better than wave breaker, I think they’re very close, the main thing I was talking about was that people don’t know how to shoot the torpedo

Man, the C Jr. was my favorite weapon in the patch a long with the Vanilla one... shame that now the community is going to hate me for using the weapon now after this. tetras like a ton of quick respawn like at least 2 mains and 2 subs of it. you could also run haunt with at least 1 main and 5 subs of quick respawn. a sub of bomb resist is nice as well as a little bit of swim speed and quick super jump. also please please run stealth jump

Yeah, it's ridiculous how thick that armor is, there's really no reason to ever try to break it alone either, since they will either drop the Booyah bomb on you, or throw it and swim away with some armor left. That is my least favorite part about it, you should instantly lose the armor when you throw the Booyah Bomb, but for some reason the user is still protected for like one second after throwing it, so you can throw the special and then easily get away with the armor protecting you. It's dumb.

Honestly, I want a good roller with curling on it. But some of these weapons are cracked. That custom Carbon would feel amazing, if you can pull of the the flick, into roll insta-kill in a actual match, but I know for a fact if I ever do it, it's only going to happen in Turf War, now that I'm comfortable enough to begin attempting Ranked, I know I can't try dumb techniques there. The Jr by default still needs more than 50% of the tank to throw a bomb. You still need Ink Saver Sub to throw out more than one at a time.
