There's genuinely some combos of kits that no one would think of because all the fanmade kits are 90% focused on “lethal bomb + displacement/aggressive special”. Rapid Pro Deco is one of my new favourite kits from just how unique and fun it is, and NO ONE saw that coming, literally no one. The dev team aren’t perfect with kit design, but generally when they give something a utility sub, they KNOW what they're doing with the utility sub (outliers do obviously exist though, but generally it's combos carried over from previous games, like wall rollers, sploosh beacons, undercover mines, etc.).

While the new Nova isn’t the greatest weapon, I can say that I find it super fun - way more so than the old nova. The combo of long distance paint, aggressive mine placement, and jet for poking make it one of my favorites from this season.

Kits have been looking up honestly. With the last two seasons kits have either been strong or otherwise really really weak, so to see more weapons come out that people actually want to play and can use in the comp scene is great. I’m not even a tetras user, but the kit seemed fun enough and as a result i’ve picked up a new main.

Playing wiper deco i see the main weakness other than comp dependence is that it gets walled out really quick if your team doesnt have bombs to push. Seeing how most top tiers have bombs anyways its not gonna be seen as much but having nothing to poke with really made playing it in stuff like tc and zones significantly harder than vanilla

I've definitely noticed it's super team reliant as well. I can get some pretty good kills with it myself and it's nice for control, but it cannot do everything on its own and certainly isn't capable of picking up the slack everywhere.

Rapid Pro Deco turned a weapon I cared absolutely nothing for into a chip damage combo machine that's insanely fun, and I think it speaks volumes to how much these kits were thought through, even without bombs. S-Blast aside, all of these kits give the weapons tools they can use pretty well, and it definitely gives me high hopes for the next round of kits!

Sure yes Tent’s kit is absolutely amazing and I love that aspect of it, but Tent does still struggle with consistency from time to time, such as having it’s shield out just a bit faster and having either a damage buff or less pellet spread could help the main weapon a ton.

I'm pretty sold on the Big Swig now. I said I'd give it a shot if it got a new kit and it did. Results have been mixed, but I'm having a good time. I still wish it had a better kit, but the main weapon is good enough now, in my opinion. I'm not sure what I'd want for its third kit though.

I absolutely love the new big swig kit. Ive been a fan of the weapon before but now it's so much better. Ink storm is perfect for it and Marker actually is better than most people think.

the other issue i have about the Line Marker is, that every person i encounter with a weapon that has the sub, dont ever go out of their comfort zone and do nothing but throw their sub at everything that moves. So they're not much than a annoying dmg poker with point sensor spam. Well on higher ranks it's most likely not a big problem, but we always have to think less experience players too that might struggle on that.

Funnily enough, my two favorite weapons from this update are annaki nova and Painbrush. Call me skill-less cause I am, but actually having ink jet on a shooter is really fun. I’m not much of a Splatling user so ballpoint doesn’t usually go well. I’ve been excited about Painbrush since it got revealed, so my lack of mechanical skill can finally be utilized

I have been carving peeps up with the splatana deco. Never thought I could love the wiper more than stamper but it happened. Combined with sub PU and special charge with flexibility of having either run speed or special PU, I feel so versatile despite definitely needing support where necessary considering it struggles to solo kill unlike stamper imo

BSE is a weapon I really wanna push for, it has its uses and comboing with the main weapon is amazing with rain, angle shooter is just fun, but just doesn’t synergize as much as I hope for, although shooting DOWN towards players on a flat surface can work well to combo with it! Since shooting towards the ground with angle will not make it bounce directly up, but skim across the ground, niche but still kinda helps, (I love BSE)

Good breakdown! Thanks for making the vid! Before I give my opinion, I'm mostly a roller main, but I dabble in Sploosh and paintbrush. I tried the Swig Express and had a lot of fun with it, especially on Barnacle. After a week or so, I wanted to try other kits - I played the Splatana Wiper when the game first dropped, I liked the concept but never mastered it. I moved onto the Deco wiper to give it a try, and I haven't changed weapons since. I mostly do Turf War and play mid-rear with it, and I'm having a LOT of fun! It''s a chicken-egg kind of thing; wiper is hard to play because I don't know and have the skill for it, but I can't gather those without playing with it. Just need to refine my technique.

as an ink brush main, i was so hyped for a new brush weapon, however im quite disappointed as the painbrush kind of mid imo, so here's some buff ideas i'd like to see (not all of them at once ofc): - better ink efficiency, ofc - idk if it's just me, but the hit box when you're close, even right on top of an enemy, seems to be janky and not hit, so a fix would be great - would love to see the dmg when you poke an enemy while rolling be upped, so you can combo, even if it wouldn't really get that much use - slightly higher jumps? so you can ink above walls more easily, like sloshers - PLS make it paint your feet more reliably, it's the worst thing having to recharge ink and you're stuck, can't even flick once bc of the recharge cooldown, and with the ink efficiency it basically happens all the time - and if none of these make it to the buffs, maybe better strafing speed? just a slight more speed to make its movement a bit better, not splatana level of strafing speed tho ofc

It's interesting to see just how different solo queue meta is from competitive meta. As an S-rank (formerly S+) player, I've been seeing hardly any wiper decos or light tetras, but as soon as the modes change to Clam Blitz, I get served a lobby full of Painbrushes that, while beatable, are very stressful to fight, especially in a mode like clams

I had a lot of fun playing around with wiper deco in clam blitz. The movement on it as well as beakons is so much fun, being able to run around the map and place jump points wherever you like is hilarious. I'm not good at it, and I'm sure I was basically just throwing, but there were so many moments in those games where I found myself behind their back line with a charged slash ready to go to pave the way for the clam holders to get in

I've been playing Splatana Wiper since I picked up Splatoon 3 for Christmas. I wasn't sure about the new kit. I hardly ever get hit by the missiles so I assumed I wouldn't get many hits. For the most part, I was correct. I can usually take out more players with the stamper, especially if clustered together. With missiles, I might get 1-2 every other match. The beacon is the best part for the team over all and I focus more on using that than splatting. In Ink war, I get low kills, deaths slightly below that, but I get a lot more wins and by a larger amount of inked turf...but...the people that I'm playing with has to be on board. When I play with my daughter, both in the same room, we frequently get fist bumps.

Bubbler also takes two inkstrikes to pop which means the user only has one left to use on anything else. Might be noteable.

Not really, because the strikes can still hit you inside the bubble, so you only need to throw a single strike to force people out of bubble. That's usually enough, because the shield will also be heavily damaged, so even if a player tries to go back to the shield, it's either already popped, or going to pop shortly after.

As a Anaki Splatershot Nova main (I probably misspelled that) I see this as an absolute win. I will say it does have its weaknesses and I forget the sub weapon exists but I do like how it can be used. I have had moments where I got kills with it and others were just to mark someone but I use it as a somewhat bait to bring them to the mine and scaring them with it. The damage is low, only have a 5 shot kill and I really wished it was stronger but that doesn’t stop me from getting 5-7 kills with no deaths (sometimes)
