What's the life expectancy? Will the adjustable drive outlast the impeller/bearings?

Not very long if used frequently. The are prone to wear and tear as the CVT has to keep changing ratios to keep up with the rapid and frequent crankshaft fluctuations to keep the charger at optimal boost precisely. If this system is used racing and rally, it would be a nightmare for the CVT. People tried CVT driven supercharger way before procharger and they don’t last and unreliable. If they were reliable, you would have seen them in brand new cars out of showrooms.

Very nice video and very nice technology! The only bad thing I see with that kit is that the air filter is sucking all kinds of underhood hot air. Maybe they can change the blower arrangement so the filter can point on front and make an airbox to get colder intake temps :)

would you guys think this is better then a roots style supercharger? I'm trying to decide what type i wanna do on my 2015 ss, does the procharger get more bang for the buck? and also i heard that the roots style has more torque is this true? any info will greatly help out thank you

Better than old school roots blower, for sure. Keep in mind that the roots blower goes all the way back to the debut of the 2-stroke Detroit Diesel, in 1938. If you ever see a roots blower on a 5th gen Camaro, it would be something trick, like from BDS. Which would be a full drag car. Centrigugal superchargers have their uses and advantages, but bottom end torque is not where they shine. Their boost curve is very progressive. The higher you rev them, the more boost they make. Look at the torque in the dyno sheet, and you'll see what I mean. Twin screw superchargers make off idle torque that a centrifugal could only dream about. The rotors on say, a Whipple or Kenne Bell, have a 160 degree helical twist that is very efficient at compressing the intake charge. They produce less heat, and make big power on little boost. (Compared to a roots blower) This setup by Procharger is cool, but it would surely take more to draw me away from the Whipple twin-screw. You never forget the smile induced by instantaneous torque production. Especially shit-tons of it.

Not much of a difference between sport and comp mode. If anything, it loses torque when in comp mode.
