You’re so lucky to have experienced that on your bike. I lived in Durango for several years and drove that many times. One day, I hope to take the bike on it. Great views Pete, especially coming into Silverton.

I know you like to travel, Colorado was simply stunning. NM has fantastic areas as well. On par with Jasper and Banff.

Thanks buddy. You and Mrs HDR need to get out there. It is so nice. Even if you drove out, the bike would be better though.

Truly amazing...Your excitement tells it all. We've ridden the Million Dollar Hwy twice, once in the rain from Ouray to Durango. As much as we like Blue Ridge, Cherohala Skyway, North GA TN, NC, etc. nothing compares to riding the western states. Looking forward to part two.
@Petesmotoadventure Жыл бұрын
Thanks guys. The western states is where it is at. Those roads are amazing.

Back in high school we would ride over Red Mountian Pass in school bus for away games in every kind of weather even in the winter. Durango has a rally every Labor Day weekend, Four Corners Rally. It's a good time and obviously the riding is amazing.

It was the altitude, once we got below 6500 feet it went away. I guess the Pan America is scared of heights just like me.

Parts have guardrails but not enough IMO. Part 2 will show you some areas that were truly terrifying. I’m scared of heights.
