I have a question. Whenever I try to bowl two-handed, I throw the ball way to slow. I was wondering if I am doing anything wrong. This is the only thing that is stopping me from bowling two-handed.
@Liquidmetal66615 жыл бұрын
@@anthonyvodicka5767 think of it like throwing a rugby ball. Use your legs and make sure your release arm is natural straight at release then follow through! Incorporate a skip on the 3&4 step going into into your 5th step slide/plant. Start your push away late on your second step. You have got to remember that it's not about the pendulum motion, it's about the transfer of momentum built from your legs directly to the ball. That's all I've learned whilst 2 handing.

@ProdigyBowlersTour5 жыл бұрын
You don't have to enter as a doubles team. Adults compete in their own division. Kids compete in their own division. The top 5 in each division advance to the show and get paired up -- 1 with 1, 2 with 2, and so on. So if you're a parent and you bring your kid, there's a chance you would end up bowling AGAINST your own kid on the show.

But it's fun to watch them in chronological order, as it really enables you to see how these kids have grown. Oh, and if you search through some of the earliest videos on this channel, you might even find some videos of ME bowling (back before I blew out my ankle). On a couple of them, I'm bowling with Christian Mennell...back when he still looked like a little kid. (Because he was one.)

A suggestion for next time you use any team format, could u put either the number of marks or the teams pin count under the last players score? I could see you not doing this as it give the viewers an idea of who’s gonna win but it would also enhance the quality I think. Just an idea
@ProdigyBowlersTour5 жыл бұрын
Rebecca, rest assured that I thought long and hard about this very thing while editing the show this week. I even went to the lengths of extending the scoresheet graphic, adding another row at the bottom to put a number at the bottom on both sides so I could do just as you suggested -- either put a total or a running tally of marks. In the end I didn't, and here's why: It would have required updating it after every ball thrown in the match, which only added a much greater likelihood (almost an inevitability) that I'd get the totals wrong. As complex a thing as it is to build the video scoresheet in just a two-player match, doing it for TEN players is a massive undertaking. I had to go back and fix dozens of mistakes as it was. To add the variable of a running total, which would have to be constantly updated after each and every shot, I finally dismissed the idea simply because I knew that if I screwed it up at any point in the match, it would be next to impossible to go back in and make corrections. You'll notice in Round Three I actually did go in and make note of precisely when the total pinfall total was clinched for one of the teams. Just figuring that out was a bit of a project. Quite honestly, I just chose not to put the team total pinfall up as a running tally because it was too much work and I more than likely would have messed it up anyway. These team events are big, big editing jobs. While a regular five-player stepladder consists of EIGHT games of editing, this week's team show consisted of TWENTY-FOUR games of editing -- three times the work that's usually involved. It took me TEN HOURS just to edit Round Three. And to be perfectly candid, I chose a shortcut as far as the team scoring totals go because I just wanted to see the finish line.
@rebeccahoward53665 жыл бұрын
BrownswickBowling I completely understand and get where you are coming from. I didn’t know editing took that long, so thank you for all the work you do to keep this show running! All of the viewers that bowl and don’t, appreciate the work you put in. Thank you very much!!

These kids should be taught how to throw their spare ball at every spare they can. Many of them are great bowlers, but on tough patterns, strike balls can move unpredictably. It also just makes the shot consistent over every pattern. You don't have to throw different ways to pick up the same spare.

There are exceptions. I would always throw the strike ball at double wood, for example.

The focus on the entire show is the same. What sometimes happens when you're watching streaming video online is that your connection speed drops, and KZbin adjusts the quality of the video to keep you streaming, rather than halting the video and giving you the spinning sundial and the dreaded "net buffering" message that reminds some of us of the ol' days of 14.4 and 28.8 Mbps dial-up connections. Gives me shivers just thinking about it. Chances are, the problem is with your connection. The video is the same throughout.

There were 10 players, 5 with 1 hand, 5 with 2 hands. And yes, lots of people in general throw with 1 hand. The 2 hands thing is just part of the sport evolving, like any sport does. Over time, people find new ways to do the same thing (not necessarily better or worse), they just find it works better for them. It's completely legal and within the rules, so if you don't like 2 hand bowling, just choose not to do it yourself. It doesn't mean others can't
