They both seem very articulate and in touch with the psychology of music production that I think a lot of people miss. Just as important as the technicalities of the craft. Great to see and hear.

Some of my favorites who are pretty similar: Eprom, Deft, Starkey, Chee, Tsuruda. Also for a similar sound in drum & bass, try Buunshin, Imanu, or The Caracal Project.

Yeah he was, when he left it was clear that the brought the spark that made them so popular. His new releases sound exactly like the Ivy Lab a lot of people miss. Kudos to them for going a new direction but I still think together they would have made some more beautiful drum and bass.

@@JMotiveMU Yeah but lets not forget the amazing contribution that these two have had to the DnB scene. Sabre in particular, but Stray's footwork inspired efforts were also amazing... And i think Stray was the first of the three to really experiment with that halt time, downtempo vibe with 'Matchsticks'.. which is such a great tune.

Pretty sure these guys do their own finalising at Devon Analogue Studios. If you've got knowledge of their individual backgrounds you'll be comfortably aware that they're capable of putting decent tune out.

Grant Hunt yes that true but this just shows their work flow and arrangement. the only two tricks they show you is to go into the vocal and turn up the voluming then they add a drum bus to their drums rack for more distortion.
