Honestly, PD is very right about the music video, if this was any other group, I would be really underwhelmed with it. BUT as someone who passionately watched produce 48, it feels completely different. aohnne blame pledis. Based on the line up most the girls were last ditched efforts to get the cutest girl group based on online reception. Yena, I never thought she would be picked because of her ranking on the show. She was my other underdog next to Chaeyeon. Hyewon had pretty high ranking even though she lack confidence which wasn’t surprising. Minju didn’t even rank till the top 12 and showed the most promise of growth.

Actually the way they pronounced 'La vie en rose' is okay ; the 'en' part is totally butchered but it's a sound that foreigners have a hard time getting right so I always let it pass lol and they also pronounce 'rose' like the actual flower (in english), not the color in french, but I mean it fits with the song! Also I think the 'rose' in the title of the song doesn't stand for the color pink (= rose in french) but actually the flower, hence why they were holding roses and throwing rose petals in the music video, and i'm guessing that is also why the most prominent color in the mv is red. I like it, i think it give more of a classy/chic vibe to the concept than if they used the color pink ^^ I really enjoyed your reaction!! The one you liked the most is Yujin :D

The concept of the mv and song is based on the actual saying "Life in Pink". The song is basically about IZ*ONE making their fans "see life in pink". I guess the roses in mv is both a play on word and also as a symbol of seeing something beautiful.

Of course, it is also difficult to pronounce R sound in English because it doesn't exist in Korean. In fact, rhotic consonant sound in Korean is similar to flap T/D sound in American English, as in Japanese and Spanish. However, we learn English as our first foreign language, we can pronounce R sound in English alike.

Being french, I can tell you that they didn't butcher "la vie en rose" nor is it grammatically incorrect but the way they pronounce it definitely does not sounds like french. Because the way the letter "R" sounds like in french is definitely harsher than the one you use when speaking English or Korean.

Koreans basically butcher the r sound in general. L is their prominent sound and r doesn't exist so they basically don't know how to do it, forget doing it the French way 😅 as for the en, the n in en is very specific. I'm glad they used their ng sound as the translation tho. their n sound completely ruins the effect of the en but ng is much closer

i felt really hurt when PD said he didn’t like chayeon’s voice, she’s my bias and i think she deserves the world. she’s already self conscious as it is if you’ve ever watched pd48; people think of her negatively before they get to know her. i really think that it’s unfair. also imo, the aesthetics were beautiful in this mv. but that’s just me. also eunbi, chaeyeon, sakura, hitomi, nako, and yuri stood out to me when watching the mv. idk what’s up with me maybe i’m the weird one

Nigelz One yeah, i see all praises n i expected sth wow... but i guess most kpop fans these days get impressed by everything released(unless by super nugu whoever)... back then, it was more fun as it's not strange to see fans criticizing their own fav's songs, it challenges companies n idols to release better stuffs/improve. this is rather average at best, i just liked the part before that instrumental chorus... but after listened to clc's version, i like the latter's better. beware though, the attacks comin hard lol.

I love chaeyeon but I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t like her voice sksk don’t get me wrong she’s a amazing vocalist but her voice and tone don’t do it for me kinda like sakura but she just lacks training love all the girlies v much though and I hope to see how they improve in the next two years
