Please react to R.Tee and Anda "What you waiting for". Anda has been in the kpop scene for 7 years but never got the recognition she deserves then she joined YG last year and is finally getting appreciation! R Tee co-composed almost half of BLACKPINK hit songs including DDDD...playing with fire...etc and even ROSÉ was involved in the writing of this song. So many reasons why you should react to it. Please 🙏

"it's loonapop" lmao you described EXACTLY what Loona's director wanted. A director in BBC/Rebyte Inc (not necessarily in the 15 company BBC, but Rebyte Inc as a whole) described Loona as a world that pulled you in, and specifically said Loona is not meant to "appeal to the masses" (as in advertised, in comparison to big3 companies). Loona is meant to pull you into the group, not go out of their way to get you. If that makes sense, and it seems Loona is accomplishing that goal.

There's a scene with the Chinese girls in the red jumpsuit behind their desks which look like a standardised testing/schooling environment, and then one of the girls started standing on the table and looking up at the lights. Then eventually all the girls stands on the desks and look up as well. I think the action of standing on the desks and looking up symbolises daring to dream. The standardised testing environment symbolises collectivism and conventionalism. The first girl is the catalyst that dares to dream, and she sets off a butterfly effect and the rest dares to dream as well. And what is that dream? The dream to fly like a butterfly; to be free. At the bridge of the song is when you've achieved your dreams. The music slows down, and the lyrics says "on top of the clouds", meaning you've reached your goal, and it continues something like "take a breath(edit: it was "synchronise", which I interpreted as taking a breath and get yourself together), then fly like a butterfly", i.e. to fly even higher It's very inspiring.

What I really appreciated in this mv was that the Loona girls weren’t the main focus in this music video. Outside of the dance shots, Loona never got member-focused scenes. The main focus wasn’t Loona, it was the women in the “for all loonas around the world” teaser. Loona is the expression of all of these women, which is why one woman had a butterfly tattoo on her back, and the three women you pointed out were wearing the odd eye circle eye masks. No kpop group has ever done this type of inclusive and empowering concept. I’m here for this!!

Heejin’s was produced by a different company, still love it. BBC has been running out of money but they never lack in content, quality and hard work 😭💕 feels great to stan LOONA and I’m super happy that I saw someone who looks like me in a kpop music video. At first I wasn't satisfied. It felt weird how we only ever saw the girls in their dance scenes and so much time was spent on the rest of the cast. It felt weird that there was almost no lore content we could obviously pick up on and make theories about. It felt weird how I wasn't caught off-guard by the video because it was slower paced and there were no blink-and-you-miss-it shots or particularly fancy editing (I blame being conditioned by kpop to expect the unexpected and be blown away by creative shots and dramatic stuff). What drew me to LOONA had been their lore, their immensely detailed content that you could endlessly dissect, the shots that force you to slow it down to ×0.25 speed to see them, the insane drops and unexpected directions the songs take. To see a LOONA, the group that set my expectations in the first place, release an MV that hardly has any of the ingredients that hooked me in was very much a disappointment. And yet, there was something utterly CAPTIVATING about the MV and the song. I thought it was the dancing because damn, I have never seen LOONA perform this well and this in sync (might have something to do with the outfits tho) before nor have I ever seen this style of dancing, it's so unconventional there are parts that seem like it would go to a boy group but then there are also those moves that are so graceful that you know that only girl groups would dare to dance like that. And they perform with such power and grace that it doesn't fit our gender norms, almost making it otherworldly, ethereal even. I want to say that they make it so classy but to describe them that way feels like an insult, they go so far beyond that. Hell, they almost don't seem real, or at least, they feel like something beyond human. They went from our everyday girls out on a cool adventure to these mysterious, enthralling beings and yo, I am HERE FOR IT. And can we talk about how they make use of their formation???? That's some next level... leveling(?)... right there, ladies. UGH it's so aesthetically pleasing and I don't know why. I thought it was because of the grand set that they used because man, that looked so expensive and it had so much depth to it. The structure and the clean cut form added to the ethereal allure that they were giving off and holy shit I was surprised. I guess those played a role but there was something else giving me this really odd sensation even with the other shots. PD was probably right about how much the camera shots have contributed to the quality of the music video. It's so hard to believe that they took such simple scenes and made it so artistic and beautiful. I have NEVER been so affected by the depth used in MVs. Seriously. I normally can't say much about how they shoot scenes but LOONA really went out there to make it something memorable. This may have been their simplest MV yet, but my god, EVERYTHING was executed with such finesse and quality that no matter what segments you see, you feel like there's something MORE going on than what you can tell just by looking at the subject of the camera shots.

This is why I love pd's reactions when it comes to reviewing mvs. You just dont waste time watching, I like to do a bit of photography and watching this is like a two in one video. You learn things and you enjoy. Pd will always be one of my favorite reactors out there.

“Loona is a movement” I loved that part! I really enjoyed this review as a whole like I usually do with PDs stuff, but I also really thought he would dive a bit more into the diversity on this mv bc I really have never seen anything like this in kpop, and how meaningful and symbolic pretty much every scene (and the lyrics!) are. The cinematography itself is amazing ofc but those were the most important aspects of the video for me, what truly moved me and made it all so impactful imo.

wow, I really appreciate your commentary on this. A lot of what you had to say is something that needs to be taken account for, in terms of other korean groups. Loona is definitely trying a new and different approach in the music industry, and I cannot wait to see what they do with their platform.
