This song was always a sad favorite, but when he passed in April, it really hurts to hear.

Prince released Sometimes it Snows in April in 1986 as part of the soundtrack to the film Under a Cherry Moon. The song refers to the passing of the Lead character, played by Prince. Then many years later he himself passes in April. Beautiful yet and song, dig out the original if you can.

Not gunna lie I couldn't bear to hear this song for two years after he left. Some peeps might understand that when someone you love in music leaves this world, it's a different kinda hurt. I didn’t realize until I saw your video today that he performed this exactly 12 years and one day before he passed away in April. Not sure if you know that this song was released April 21, 1986, the same date as he passed away 30 years later on that date. And of course, the song is about death.
