So, THIS song, Anna Stesia, was what got me HOOKED on Prince. This led me to the whole Lovesexy album (& this concert), which in turn took me down the rabbit hole that is his catalogue & I still haven't come back out (not that I want to)! & it always makes my heart so happy to hear Prince sing about God! Awesome song. Been traveling down the Prince rabbit hole for 4 months now, and he's the G.O.A.T. imho. Found out he got healed from having seizures as a child and that an angel told him he would no longer be having them. He shared this with his mother. Prince was on a spiritual journey because he was dealing with the appetites of the flesh battling those of the spirit. You will see as he aged he gave his life to God and changed from using profanity and being oversexual in his music. His life is a good example of God's Grace. Religious people will write you off, and Jesus Christ will still be patiently working on you until you are conformed into His image. God is Love. Love is God. John 3:16 ❤

gotta watch the whole tour, the first act is all sex and lust and ends with this and the second act is all the joys of spirtuality. this is the closest he got to traditional gospel. growing up 7th day adventist he wasnt exposed the traditonal black church. one of his first overtly spirtiual hits. songs like Lets Go Crazy, I Would Die 4 U amd Purple Rain were hidden christian songs
