The fact that they made the arrangement of this cover acoustic is already an A plus for me, originally the track was like pop rock and it's also good but Felip's version is so much better. His vocals and falsetto is just amazingly great, that calm and cozy, laid back vibe you felt while listening on this track makes it even better. Yeah, i do hope he does more song releases and also really hoping for the boys much brighter future and a positive outcome the soonest from the hurdles they're facing right now.

I love the mahalima but I guess, one reason, Felip wants to share his own song and release it because he himself know he could not flex what he want within the group. KEN as he mentioned loved to experiment. Reason why fans also begs him to release Palayo when they heard him perform the song because they saw how good his vocals are. It hits you differently. I myself, wants more to hear of that beautiful vocal in a song. Im not hating the mahalima song but everytime Ken play his part. I want more from him.❤😊. Kens voice is insane. I got chills honestly. As a group, they create beautiful music together too and its insane as well❤😂.

This is actually the official theme song of Close Up ad. So, yes, it's a toothpaste commercial. This came out in 2012. Close Up has some cool theme songs and hopefully, Ken can record them as well.

Funny you mentioned Lifehouse because the Filipino band, Never the Strangers, was the front act for Lifehouse when they had their concert in Manila last 2012 where they sang Moving Closer. Wish you could listen to the original version too. This song was used for a Filipino Closeup TVC and became an instant favorite song played in high school proms. I'm glad Felip decided to pay tribute to Never the Strangers by singing their song. It was a good cover.

🚘🌴 Always nice to watch your RV..and support of Ken/Felip and Mahalima. Yes, it is a cover, originally performed by the Filipino band, Never the Strangers. I wish someone would also revive another Closeup ad song composed by the late Danny Javier entitled 'Just a Smile Way' and sung by Jaime Garchitorena., played a lot in the '90's. Danny Javier was a well respected member, composer of the OG ..Apo Hiking Society. I love Felip's cover..and have to listen to his soothing voice all the way to the last note.❤ I am also hoping Mahalima comes out stronger later. I think it really helped a lot that the boys have already garnered its own goodwill, and this current ongoing issue is not related to any malicious acts. A lot of times many artists, as popular as they go gets involved with nasty matters that you would not wish to be emulated by the public. As a fan, Mahalima always symbolized hope and perseverance, and in all their songs they never failed to show that, and their artistry, so they remain well-loved. I am glad they have already composed some time ago Christmas/holiday songs so it feels comforting to listen to as well right now when they are immensely missed.
