Best mod for tpi hands down. Been on my bike for a year and it is a keeper. I love simplicity and pipe bang was what made me change but power boost was almost too much, but the soft map solves that too. Glad to see Jeff reassessment and he supplied mine. Buying from Jeff is easy and safe because you know what you're getting, just watch his videos.

Thanks Jeff. I just ordered mine along with the Sicass map switch. 👍 I just got a new to me 2020 300XCW and I raced a couple weeks ago and I definitely noticed pipe bang. also had some downhill stalling as well. excited to see how this performs. will probably get a S3 head later down the road.

been thinking about one of these for a few months now, They have better oiling then factory across the board and a nice pick up in all ranges from what I've gathered.

I’m really interested in Coober ECU for my ‘22 300XC. I ride mostly MX track - and want mid to high/over rev power increase. Will the Coober make it on par with ‘23 TBI 300SX in terms of power output?
@slaverace1 Жыл бұрын
Hello: The bore and stroke on a 300 make it a mid-range powerband. If continually over-revved they crack pistons. The Coober slavensracing.com/shop/ez-ecu-for-ktm-hqv-gas-gas-300-tpi-by-coober/ will make it pull harder everywhere but the only way to get TBi power is to buy a TBi.

Will it stop the detonation and excessive heat from the engine? 22 ec300
@slaverace14 ай бұрын
Yes, the Coober delivers safer fueling (correct air/fuel ratios) for longer engine life with increased power from off-idle to high RPMs and increased oiling.

Any ECU suggestions for my wife’s 22 KTM XCW 150? Did the V Force Reed valve mod. This thing seems to run rich, really rich, spitting oil out of the silencer (more than the usual amount) and fouling plugs. 70 hours on the bike. Love to hear your suggestions. I think you’ve sold me on the Coober ECU for my 300. Love your videos, keep ‘em coming!

David: Sorry, but currently GET and Coober do not offer an ECU for your 150.

If using this unit on a 2022 GasGas EC300 is the standard spark plug to be used (GasGas manual says NGK BR7ES) or is there a better temp range one to use? East coast. 0-1800 ft elevation with S3 low comp head.
@slaverace12 жыл бұрын
Hello: The 7 heat range is correct but I prefer the higher performance/quality of the BR7EiX slavensracing.com/shop/spark-plugs-ktm-husaberg-ngk/

Hy Jeff, so I used a Coober ECU this past weekend at Rabbit and Peach Valley. My 2020 TX300i feels like it's running better than ever with it. Bike seems to be burning more fuel however, and actually ran out of gas at 47.5 miles at Peach Valley. Any thoughts on what I can do to improve that? Would 110 octane fuel help (if so, how many more miles you think)? Anything else? I have an S3 high-compression head and replaced my idle screw about 150 hours ago, for what it's worth. Thanks.
@slaverace1 Жыл бұрын
Most guys tell us they get around 60 miles with the Coober at trail pace so I'm guessing you were revving it a lot. I used a Coober quite a lot last summer and with a 3.2 tank 80+ miles was no problem. The stock fueling is lean and the Coober mapping is richer to correct the lean condition and improve performance. 110 octane will make it worse, not better. Solution; 3.2 tank slavensracing.com/shop/large-capacity-fuel-tanks/ and run it lower in the powerband.

I added the coober ecu and slavens idle screw , bike runs rich everywhere , and seems low on power . Clean filter all other stock parts. 4 1/2 turns out on air screw . Any ideas ?
@jkruhlik2 жыл бұрын
Do you have a tachometer to see what your idle rpms actually are?
@senatorjoycefairbairnmiddl70252 жыл бұрын
Mine was the same after the idle screw, stock ECU. It’s a 2020 XC 300. I had to back the air screw out 5.5 turns and it seems much happier now. Also tried 6 turns out on the air screw… too lean at that point I think. At 4.5 turns out I fouled a plug basically every ride.
@monkcox16622 жыл бұрын
@@jkruhlik I have an old school dial with wire tach . It's ' sounds ' like it idles good . No plug fouling . Just lacks the power it should . I think the cooler ecu took it a step or 2 back from the stock ecu .Ive never messed with a tpi bike before . Is there a safe limit to the air screw ?
@fallingover2 жыл бұрын
idle screw mod can change tps value and add fuel, in my experience back the screw out and reset air screw

Apparently the newer TPI bikes overheat easier in the slow stuff than the old carburetored bikes. Do you know if the Coober solves this problem?
@slaverace12 жыл бұрын
Hello: The '18-19 Tpi models are lean and that makes them run hot. The '20-23 models do not have that issue. The Coober corrects the fueling issues on all years and dramatically improves performance.

hello, I have a chance to buy a Coober ecu from a friend who rides a 300 xci tpi, I have a 250 xcw tpi and im wondering if the 300 ecu is compatible with the 250? thanks!
@slaverace1 Жыл бұрын
Sorry, it is not compatible with your 250.

Do they recommend getting a high compression head with the ECU? Or is it setup ideal for stock compression head? I know some of the other ECU flashes suggest also getting different head to match, which is why I wonder.
@slaverace12 жыл бұрын
Cody I’ve used it with stock and high compression and with the stock injector location and with the injector relocation kit. It works very well with all of those set-ups.

I have one on my 22 ktm 300 no map switch . What map does it run on in my situation. It would be awesome if I could have a mild to wild difference in a switch
@slaverace12 жыл бұрын
Map 1 = rock and roll with smooth power delivery, Map 2 = more low-end and lower mid-range grunt with softer power delivery than Map 1. With no map switch it defaults to Map 1.
