Scott, thanks for the great review. You're the first person I've seen to show how an impact wrench can also be used to pre-tighten lug nuts and use a torque wrench the rest of the way. This saves a lot of time from having to use a socket wrench when it really isn't needed if you're careful enough and go slowly.

I have the same model just a different color and a different no name brand slapped on it. Because it’s a Makita knock off you can use Makita batteries with it. I have an 18 volt Makita drill and driver set. The batteries that came with it,which are 2 amp hr,fit the knock off impact wrench perfectly. Actually even better in my opinion. Nice video.

I have the brushless See See 1/2 inch impact. I like it better than my Milwaukee or De Walt that I have. Better in the hand and has ample power. I would pay the same price for it as the Milwaukee ( owned by TTI and made by TTI ) Google it. De Junk is owned by Stanley Black and Decker , who's tools are made in China Vietnam, Brazil , and Mexico. So please realize 2 things .... 1 very few things are American Made. 2 folks please quit asking the stupid question of how long will they last ? Probably as long as the stuff made in China seeings how their made in China etc with an American name on it.

@GoldwingDocs2 жыл бұрын
Not so far. I've used it quite a few times, mostly zipping wheels on and off, and it still performs beautifully. It's been dropped on the concrete floor a few times, and used as a hammer to pound a stick wheel off of a brake rotor, and still it works, so...I can't complain. :)

If you had to order a new locking nut key, seems an expense and one that I avoided because after my key broke inside I took it down to a local tyre fitter and he took them all off with a special tool that he smashed on to the offending nuts and charged me £40($51)for 4 wheels👍. Then I asked him what can I do about future problems problems and told me just use normal lug nuts as you will bound to have that one shop that won't use torque settings and impact them up to 600 that even the Beast would struggle 😮
@pyrodon19102 жыл бұрын
did you get this with a promotional discount or purchase it "used like new"? The reason i'm asking is because your kit is OBVIOUSLY not factory direct. It is missing the top layer of protective foam, the charger is also supposed to be contained in a bubble wrap bag, and the sockets come inside the fabric bag also. It seems to me like you got a used item. The case should be somewhat difficult to close when all of the protective foam is in the kit. I also don't see the orange/white "inspected" sticker on the case.
@GoldwingDocs2 жыл бұрын
It actually came directly from Amazon, so I would be surprised if it was not actually new.

Warped rotors are caused by stabbing the brakes and making a hot spot very quickly. Has nothing to do with lugnut torque.
@GoldwingDocs Жыл бұрын
You're wrong. Unbalanced lug not torque is the most common cause of rotor warm. Braking heavily and holding the brakes tight after you come to a stop can cause some of the pad material to transfer and "weld" to the rotor, which will make vibration that is commonly (but incorrectly) thought of as caused by warped rotors. But the most common cause of actual warped rotors in road cars is lug nut torque. Race cars DO warp rotors from heat, but that is not typical in road-going cars, as the brakes typically never get that hot.
@neilmoore3856 Жыл бұрын
As a 26 year Honda, GM, Mercedes, and BMW master tech I assure you spiking the brakes or exxessively hard braking causes "warped" rotors. The heat makes them out of round. If you dont believe me, google it.
