Thank you for discussing your thoughts and feelings of being othered in white spaces! I think about this a lot now because I felt the same growing up and was always trying to distance myself from my ethnicity and the stereotypes that people placed on me. I am half Chinese half white and I felt a lot of internalized racism (subconsciously) when I was younger. As I have gotten older (I'm 22) I feel like I can address these things more head on and have shed a lot of those negative feelings and embraced myself for who I am and of course it feels even better when someone who understands talks about it
