You can lower the handle on the suitcase and lift it through the strap, so you won’t have to struggle to lift the bag. Same thing to take the bag off, just drop the handle first.

The mess part is so relatable. Glad you shared it because I always feel super guilty for having a messy house (I deal with depression and stress a ton and it manifests in neglecting my house work) I always want to live in a magazine cover type home (and I've known people who live like that) but I just don't have it in me. I prefer a clean and organized space but I am chaotic by nature and then the depression really just keeps me from cleaning up as often as I'd prefer. So thank you :) Because we all have days where things are a mess, and it's nice to normalize that.

HIGHLY recommend the MZ wallace crosby traveler bag. The bag itself is extremely light and doesn't add weight when you put stuff in it. It slides over handles easily and fits really well under seats. Because it has top zippers for main compartment and the side compartments, your stuff is easily assessible if it's underneath the seat in front of you. I have been traveling internationally consistently for 5 years and it is my must-have.

Carry on bags with no wheels are a giant no for me. They have plenty of duffel bags with pop-out wheels, or small overhead bin bags with wheels. Once had to do gate shuffling over and over again (thanks Delta!) at a massive airport, and carrying a heavy carry on bag on my shoulder back and forth was so so painful. You can slide it over the handle of your checked bag until you check it, but that's right at the beginning of everything so you have to carry the carry-on through security, through the airport while you find your gate etc. Get one with wheels!

Béis makes a backpack with similar features and a great padded laptop pocket. I love it for travel because it opens up all the way and has a lot more room than you’d think. I also have the larger weekender, and I agree that it’s good for road trips but not as easy on a plane. Edit: Also, you’ve also swayed my opinion on their carry-on suitcase. I’ve been on the fence until now.

Agree with weekender. It’s not for plane travel and it’s HEAVY. Rather wheel a luggage if carrying on or backpack. I do recommend their backpack for light carryon travel because of how it opens up and easy for packing. Also even with the backpack fully packed it’s still easy to put on the roller handles

You should look into the Away carry on bags. They’re shorter than the Beis ones so they fit well under the seat and it’s pretty easy to slip onto the handle. I have the knockoff one from Amazon and I really love it. It doesn’t fit a large laptop though so keep that in mind. I guess I can also lift a decent amount so the weight thing doesn’t bother me.

Another lovely vlog 🙂 So excited for your moving vlogs! One of my best moving tips is to use your blankets, sweaters and extra bedding as packing supplies to save money on buying bubble wrap. Make sure to add some tape just as you would bubble wrap so it's secure. For one of our smaller moves this trick totally worked for everything! 🥰

@@taylorwynn When we moved recently across the East Coast I stalked Dollar Tree for their Essentials Large Vacuum Storage Bags 27 X 17 inches. I used our vacuum while patting out the extra air. I can't believe these things are only ONE dollar 😃. I fit my whole walk in closet in our large suit case 😁! Also use em while traveling and bring my mini steamer in my suitcase. The bags will cause wrinkles to your clothes but washing or a quick steam works for me!

Moving across the country is stressful! I did it 10ish years ago. It was expensive then I can't imagine what it is like now! I kept my car though because my move included my 2 cats.
