Interesting video. I've been detailing at a dealership for nearly 40 years and a side hustle business owner for 3 yrs . I've been fortunate enough to make many friends in the retail market that is typically not available to people outside of dealership/ car wash. Ie : carbrite , advanced and malco . Enough of a relationship that I can get any of the products at cost and each give me new products to test . Ofcourse I still buy a few products off the shelf like coatings and such but by buying 5 gallon jugs of apcs, wheel cleaners, dressings at 1/2 price is a huge savings.

Since you like your DIY extractor then try these two upgrades to make it even more user friendly. 1, cut your 1/4 inch airhose the same length ( roughly) as your vacuum hose and put a quick disconnect there. That way your not wrestling with the extra 41 feet when doing your set up or breakdown. 2, the connector cuff between the vacuum hose and the spray wand is solid , get a swivel, its so much easier on your wrists and what not. Your not fighting with 9 feet of hose . Hopefully you'll notice the difference in everyday use that I do.

@@important977 I believe that's the one that worked. Maybe contact them and make sure it fits your hose! I bought one off of Unoclean I think they are called and its a little loose in the threaded end. It works but you have to be careful with it. Im pretty sure this is the right one

awesome that you say this. I have owned my 4 gal shop vac for years and simply bought an extractor head for my hose and it works like a charm, glad I went that route instead of an expensive extractor out the gate. I am hoping I can offer some basic interior cleaning to save up for more/better equipment/chemicals. as it stands i dont have a dedicated spray nozzle so I have a pump sprayer for water on the side for now until then. Thanks for the videos and insight

I have a non see thru spray wand i will sale you cheap. Its a aluminum pro upholstery wand. Its actually a little shorter over all then the MyTee one everybody is using. More maneuverable! Yes its great to see what your sucking up but its not rocket science to figure out how many passes you need to make.

Great Products, It's always a good Idea to switch around or introduce new products. Oftentimes, especially in today's world, manufactures substitute chemicals in their products due to availability, making them less effective, or sometimes more effective.

The reasons newer interiors get bad is from using caustic cleaners when not needed....... u have this backward. Use least aggressive possible if u haven't heard that a million times. Don't accelerate wear and tear. Use the gentle cleaners to let them last as long as possible, then use the heavy stuff for the last ditch effort 100,000-200,000 mile detail to sell the car.

Luckily I’m a plumber and PVC Primer and Glue has made it impossible for anything like Superclean to affect my breathing. That said, I bet it wasn’t a drill brush that messed up some seat upholstery that he mentioned, that issue came using SC 5-1, which is not diluted enough especially if the fabric is dry.

He isn’t necessarily ruining tips, everything ages and ever profession has advancements and changes. As a mechanic I change tools out every 2 weeks to a year for a specific job or to do something easier. Detailing changes based on chemicals coming to market, new tools, things we can build. You just have to use some critical thinking skills and not rely on a single source of knowledge. Don’t be afraid to experiment, it’s your business/hobby have fun with it!

@HH-le1vi
@HH-le1vi Жыл бұрын
@@k1r4ns you can just further dilute it until it's how you want. Also tons of cleaners are alkaline. In fact most are. Tide has a pH of about 9. Sometimes higher depending on the individual product, bleach is 13. If you want something pH neutral depends on what you're using it on.
@k1r4ns
@k1r4ns Жыл бұрын
@@HH-le1vi I'm aware most cleaners are alkaline. But most dedicated interior cleaners or leather cleaners are very close to if not neutral. Also diluting an alkaline of say 12 doesn't do a whole lot to the pH. Even at 10:1 it's still 11 something
