Hey Scott! Long time fan and listener of the podcast. Would love to hear you do a segment on Celsius Energy Drinks. The marketing is on-point and the stock is going crazy. I’d really appreciate your perspective on their future growth prospects.

Excellent presentation on market activity, Scott and Ed😅 I really appreciate Scott's description of his experience in the markets. You are a great role model for next generations like Ed😊 I think the biggest game changer is AI and its abilities in expanding growth as we are experiencing an acceleration in diminishing returns on capable labor. Thank you Scott and Ed 🎉🎉

Been listening to you guys for a while. Big fan. Keep up the great work. Would love to see a deep dive on the bag holders of the commercial properties / office buildings that are empty in downtowns. Who are the bag holders and what are they doing about their empty buildings? Will we ever see a thirst for office life again from the workers? What will companies do to incentivize on-site working if it’s not required? Is the idea of an office dead? Would be nice to see Ed take this one and Scott say his “and and” while he’s excited in his rant.

Hey Prof Ascot Galloway, big fan since the days of Sector 3 and L2 KZbin videos. What would it take for a company like AMC to reach fair valuation in the $70s and not a short squeeze like in June 2021? Genuinely curious to your insights as if this is possible, it proves a path to redemption is possible
@henrytep8884
@henrytep8884 Жыл бұрын
AMC is 4 dollars today. Why are you so adamant on 70 dollars as a price target. It’s nearly impossible for a movie theater chain to hit those valuations without some revolutionary change in their business models, and with people preference on medium used for content creation.

Issue on the IRS stuff income tax rates were 60-70% in the 70s but share of gdp in tax collection was 20%. Rate in the 40s now but still only 20% of gdp so pretty good evidence high tax approach doesn’t work.

I think you’re wrong on the Vision Pro if they can fulfill Steve Jobs dream of creating the vision of headphones for video. They will have effectively replaced the iPhone iPad, Mac computers, headphones then over time just have to iterate like they did with the old iPhone, and replace their prior winner.

Do you think that the tech layoffs were/are in a way used as a pressure release valve, to cover failed earnings estimates? Maybe companies over hired during Covid and said: We don’t need that many people, but we’ll keep them, until the economy/ earnings/ stock takes a dive. We’ll announce a big layoff, and that will cushion the fall.

The bit you are missing with SPAC's is the fee structure and incentives all wrong. Incentives are misaligned with investors. With SPAC's the founder gets 20% of the equity on initial investment. So they don't really care how well it performs afterwards (sure its a nice cherry on top of it goes up). All they are incentivisted to do is write the cheque and hope the price holds up long enough to sell. This is different from private equity, the manager only gets the 20% carry on realisation of the investment for all investors and therefore are aligned with investors and care about the performance post investment. Get the incentives aligned and the behaviour will follow.

I totally agree with both your takes on the Apple augmented reality glasses, Vision Pro. At first the dork in me was like dang these are super cool. But after an hour of thinking about them, I don’t think there is a girl on earth that is gonna think I’m cool, let alone get turned on if I pull those out to demo them for her. Now if I take the $3500 those things cost and take her to the jungles of Costa Rica….I’m sure Professor G’s third eye would gleam with approval 😂😂 All that to say I think Vision Pro will fail.

You can't mention Nvidia's rise without mentioning crypto mining and their focus on the power users. During the crypto bubble it was almost impossible to get an Nvidia GPU. Deep Learning / AI training and inference, for awhile, was only possible with Nvidia GPUs, there were software framework incompatibilities that still linger to this day.

for as seemingly smart / educated as Ed is, this muppet can't see that another (drum roll) option is for the USA to cut entitlements aka mailbox money - that accounts for 73% of the USA's budget. The answer is less taxes, not more and *less* wasteful government spending. "When people find they can vote themselves into prosperity, that will herald the end of the Republic" - B.Franklin
