He tried to ask that “Why are you against it?” He seems to agree its murder. Essentially he’s saying the weight of sin is so heavy that we should encourage sin to spare guilt. That is literally the opposite of grace. It’s damning people and telling them to suppress the truth. what benefit is it to a man if he gains the world and loses his soul? Gods grace is sufficient and if you believe that your soul should find rest in him.
@moshesiani63636 жыл бұрын
Eventually yes, and he also said that he agreed that we should save born child from parents that want to get rid of him for any reason but unborn child we should let the women choose if she wants to kill her baby. This is why I had such trouble when I moved finding such a good church. People would give me a "word of knowledge" or "message from God" in prayer meetings and it would directly contradict the word of God and di would outright deny it and demonstrate how it did not line up. To the point where I was asked not to attend prayer meetings when the pastor said they are excersizing thie gifts of hearing God, which is not a gift of the spirit. I told him if he is giving license to his entrusted flock to tell people messages counter to the word of God then he has spit in Christ face and is dishonored God. That basic formula has happened to either me or my wife as we stood for th word of God in 5 or 6 churches now since our move. It's very disheartening that church after church preaches and shares these fake "words from God" and are tolerant of the devils lies.

Bigtombowski I will do my best. As of now there is not a single iota of concrete evidence that he exists. All evidence for his existence is just moral, sometimes it’s disguised as scientific, but there’s nothing solid actually backing it up, no real scientific findings. He was made up at a time when science was very limited and we knew little to nothing of our existence. To give ourselves value and put our mind at ease we decided to attribute everything to a God. And so that we don’t have to be afraid of death, we made up an afterlife. I’m personally not one to believe in things that there is no proof to support actually exists, especially with how advanced science is today. Religion was really created to make people feel more comfortable and ordered, with religion they could have moral value, dignity, societal do’s and don’ts, they didn’t have to be afraid of death and etc. I think it’s time we stop living in the past and living our life by a book written thousands of years ago.

@@swampratzozzle How do people use the Bible to contradict Jesus, exactly?
@swampratzozzle4 жыл бұрын
@@jesussaves6625 Well, there are declarations by some writers in the Bible about what God is like, that he rains fire from heaven and kills people that don't listen to him. Some also say that God told them to commit genocide and have no mercy even on children and pregnant women, because they are enemies of Israel. Along comes Jesus and when his disciples want this to happen to unbelievers he rebukes them and says "you don't know what spirit you are of" and "the thief comes to kill . . . but I have come to bring you life". He also says "I say to you love your enemies, do good to those who do all manner of evil against you, bless those who curse you, so you will be like your Father in heaven, who is kind and merciful to the ungrateful and the wicked. He blesses with rain both the just and the unjust". So, anyone who quotes these verses that say opposite of what Jesus says are using the bible to contradict Jesus. These are just a few examples...

But I am "liberal" because I think we need to do something about climate change NOW before more lives are lost due to the floods, fires, tornadoes etc that are our own fault. And I believe in universal healthcare. As a Canadian I see how amazing it is for people to not pay a cent to go to a hospital and not go into debt because of a broken home or have to mortgage their house and go into poverty over a kidney stone. I do not support abortion and I am watching these videos so I can learn how to tell others about how important it is that we put an end to it. But I am "liberal" for many other reasons that are important to God. The idea of 'Christ the love hippie' that said nothing confrontational in regards to sin is the biggest lie in all the world. Christ spoke of hell more than anyone in the Bible with half of his talks involving "repentance" and the "horribleness of our sins." Love is how one expresses these truths.
@swampratzozzle5 жыл бұрын
No, Christ did NOT speak of hell more than anyone He spoke of The valley of Hinnom, the grave, and the garbage dump outside Jerusalem. Way later people translated those words "hell" and assigned pagan meaning to them. You also buy into "repentance" as a proper translation for a word that means a "massive and complete change of mind". Jesus did not condemn sinners, he loved them and showed solidarity to the ones outcast by the righteous people of his day - by righteous I mean those who followed the law to a T. His reason? "The sick need a physician". He came to HEAL sinners, NEVER to punish them. Take the woman caught in adultery. He should have insisted she be stoned. I mean God said to, right???? WRONG. He let the people who hung him on the cross off the hook. Seriously, what could possibly be more sinful than killing God's Son?????? If he did that, he ain't punishin' no one. Sin is its own punishment. He came to heal sin. Sin is far far far FAR worse than behaving badly. It is a cancer that destroys the soul. It is a blindness about who God really is. This causes us to run from fellowship with God. Jesus said eternal life is "intimately experiencing in fellowship the Father and the one he has sent". Death is the opposite.

ARe you guided by Scripture? Do you still think slavery is ok? How about polygamy, or building a Temple for God with slave labour? HOw about wiping out whole nations of unbelievers, children included? Do you wear cotton/ply clothing? Do you touch your wife when she is on her period? Do you clean everything she sat on after her period is done? Are you willing to stone rebellious teenagers to death? I hate to tell you this but JESUS is the authority when looking at Scripture. My goodness, HE contradicted it over and over. Jesus is the standard. Love is the standard. Abortion is horrific and kills millions of innocent babies. So does nationalism, foreign wars that are none of America's business, capitalism and shunning the homeless. I could go on..... So while I strongly oppose abortion and the harm it does BOTH to mother and baby, I think we shouldn't use the modern Bible as the reason.

@@calebp6114 I reject premise 1. Beginning to exist is an oxymoron. We can only say things began to exist when they aren't fundamental, such as a car being assembled from parts. The car is defined into existence. It isn't a something fundamentally beginning to exist. In premise 2 universe needs to be defined. The way modern physicists use the word, it only refers to the things which are detectable. There is no scientific consensus that the big bang is the beginning of everything. The consensus is just that all the matter we see around us was at some point in the distant past very close together. If you want to pass literally everything off as being created by god, the big bang doesn't help get you there because it relies on a different definition of universe. And if you take 'universe' to mean literally everything, I appeal back to my response for the first premise. As for Ghazali's argument, I reject premise 1. As for counting up to infinity, we have a symbol for that. Its called a summation. It looks like an M twisted 90 degrees counterclockwise. The summation of 1+2+3+4... = infinity. As for the guy counting down from an infinite past, you are assuming the prior day or the day after are all the same size of infinity as the infinity of today which is the one he counted. I am aware through linear bijection we can establish that those infinite sets all have the same cardinality. But cardinality isn't the same thing as size. And if something is immaterial, spaceless, and timeless, you then have a dualistic (or polyistic) metaphysics in which there is no mechanism for the two (or many) realms to interact.

Start doing what you're supposed to be doing. It's simple. But trust in Christ and not yourself for the power to do so. You know that's required of you.
