Love Anna Olsen, a perfect pastry chef, modestly dressed, skillfully explains the process, without all the drama and histrionics of other you tubers!! She's my favourite to follow ❤👏🙌

Wow, I agree! She is my Baking heroine! She makes it look so easy and clear, you want to replicate her recipes!
This woman had inspired me to start baking when I was a teen. One of her tv shows was on our television and she looked so happy and relaxed while baking that I decided to give it a try. I am not a professionaist, I just love making baked treads for my family and myself. It calms me so much! Anna, thank you for the inspiration!

Hi! Sorry, I missed you live. Watching now and enjoying every second. I've always loved to bake, even as a young girl. I did basics, but now at 66 and retired, I've been branching out and learning to bake more difficult desserts. I want to thank you for all the lessons and answers to our questions. I love your patience as a fine teacher to the group. You are extremely appreciated. Always a pleasure, and look forward to more "lessons." Sincerely from Rhode Island, USA.

great show! I love vanilla! and for the first time, I've now learned what cream of tartar actually is - acid in powder form. So, it's sort of like powdered vinegar I guess :) And that now makes sense to me why it's added to something like meringue. Thanks Anna!
@retromoviefan9444 жыл бұрын
oh and btw, I sure am jealous of that professional oven that you have lol...I'd LOVE that type of front opening and most likely great even heating. On my budget I can't afford it, but would love it :) I'm soooo tired of my old free standing range where I have to bend down to take things out of the oven. Ouch my back! lol....happy birthday in advance!

Thank you for answering my question Anna. Whew, happy to know I'm still good with my baking powder for now. I'm having a hard time finding it in store (I'm sure many others are) but soon I'm going to be heading back out there. Crossing fingers I find it (if I do you know I'm going to buy a couple of them, lol). Happy Birthday. Best to you and yours...

Anna, thank you for your lessons! I've learnt so much from them and you inspired me to create my own recipes. Keep up with amazing videos! Stay safe and healthy, both you and your hubby! I have a question about caramel sauce. After it cools down completely, it delaminates and becomes runny. When I stir or heat the sauce, it comes back to normal, but only for a moment. The taste is spot on, just the consistency is a lot to be desired. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

I recently baked a an almond sponge cake and used 65mls of sunflower oil, 80g caster sugar, 1.25 eggs, 125g self raising flower, a Small drop of Almond extract, and a Almond Fondant- (50g of caster Sugar 4 Tablespoons of water and a teaspoon +1/2 of Almond extract with a drop of Cream), for a small individual 4inch Cake tin. I was hoping to have an oily cake, it came out a lot like a normal sponge?

Oh crap, I missed the live stream Supply shortage of vanilla have never affected me lately. I switch to pandan leaves which are growing very liberally in my neighborhood lol I pulse the leaves in my dry ingredients as in cookies, or in my milk as in pastry cream. Strain the milk before using. A tip for others: using wok will eliminate the need to strain pastry cream (not flat bottom wok). I made hundreds of batches using wok, no color deviation, smooth every single time

That's funny because I don't want my vanilla buttercream frosting or cream tasted like pandan instead of vanilla...
