These turned out fantastic ~~ Very crisp and light. My husbands first words when he saw them was that they looked like bakery quality cantucci! And once he tasted them, he was even more impressed. I used Giuttard Special dark Cacao and Guittard dark Cacao chips with fresh pistachios. Once again, successful recipes from you and I thank you for that!

I really like her as a baker. It is no frills baking and not some of the wilder giant cakes and stuff we see on here. She also explains with a depth of knowledge and a calm, soothing voice.

Amazing biscotti recipes. I have made the almond and craisin one using orange zest from clementines. That seems to provide more of a citrus kick! Additionally, I reduce the second baking time in half by putting the initial cut cookies on metal cooling racks that can be placed in the oven. By baking with both sides exposed, it saves some baking time when you are making multiple batches for the holidays. These cookies keep very well in tins and actually get tastier over time. 💚

I just made this as it is, but replaced pistachios with almond and changed the shape of the biscotti. They taste divine! Thanks for the recipe Anna 🙏🏻

Eggs 😇 Egg yolks 🥵 Sugar 🍂 Vanilla extract ☀️ All purpose flour 🤕 Cocoa powder 🫒 Baking soda 💨 Salt 🤯 Shelled pistachios ❤️ Chocolate chips 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨 Bake the biscotti for about 30 minutes 🍒

I love your kitchen! I feel certain that we would bake more if we’re more accessible, and not so much work to clear the counters and haul the big heavy tubs of flour and sugar, hunt down the measuring utensils, etc.

I replaced the nuts with walnuts, and used 1tsp vanilla extract & 1 tsp.walnut extract...it turned out great...

Hi. Thanks for this wonderful tutorial. I did try this and have a query. Do we allow it to cool completely before slicing or only for 20mins. I sliced after 20mins but the chocolate was gooey while slicing. Hence the slices didn't come out clean. Thanks

I made your recipe with cranberry and almonds. They are not bad, but next time I would never use whole almonds. Especially raw. They are staying raw and chewy and aren't good in a crunchy bisqotti. I want to try chocolate recipe and use pistachios or sliced almonds. Thank you and have a wonderful holidays❤❤❤

I made this in two versions with and without the extra egg yoke. There is no difference. Excellent recipe nonetheless.

Well I'm amazed there's no butter. I used to make cantucci out of my Italian cookbook (which had only really general instructions) and I never really nailed it. I remember it made the stickiest, thickest batter which gave my hand mixer a helluva time. They also had me pipe it onto the tray (large hole) as logs. I even made my own pumpkin version once. This looks way easier.

When placing the dough on the pan can I do two rows to have smaller biscotti like your cranberry ones ? I was thinking what about a citrus biscotti with white chocolate chips and maybe some dried strawberries or raspberries in them. A pumpkin biscotti would be really good too. I love drinking hot buttered rum but I use apple cider with it. Could you maybe make an apple one that I could dunk into my hot buttered rum

Hey there Anna! I’ve not found a biscotti i like. I don’t know if its the dryness or the crunch...yes I have sensitive teeth...I can’t eat ice, or most nuts 🥜 albeit peanuts...I do suffer to eat those. But I do love chocolate and pistachios....(I know, another nut!), lol 😂...but these 2 ingredients, yum yum Anna...so I will bake these this weekend. What would I keep left overs in?
