So i understand your technique on the edge work (very nice) Im a little confused about the main 'middle' part of driveway..After going over it a few times and allowing the liquid to soak into the asphalt,can you leave any footprints on there at all? I couldn't see if you guys were constantly smoothing over your foot prints or not. It almost seemed as if the liquid would 'self-level' and smooth over your foot prints..I wasn't sure on that?

These guys are VERY good at what they do However: The topcoat they are using looks very watery. I did my driveway 2 years ago with Black Jack Drive Maxx 1000. The 1000 supposed to have a 10-year life. This past weekend, (I didn't need to but) -I put another Drive Maxx 300 (300= 3 years) down as a topcoat. While moving the topcoat around before I did the finish squeegee, my footprints were very noticeable. The Drive Maxx 300 was a lot thicker than what these guys are using. Before these guys put the finish squeegee you really can't see the footprints. Not sure what they are using and how long it will last before needing another topcoat. Don't get me wrong these guys are GREAT at what they do, I just question the quality of the material/ topcoat they are using.

What kinda sealer do yo prefer? Do you like hand application or spraying better? Do you use coal tar sealer? Had a 10k square foot driveway installed last year and had them spray it with the acrylic lacquer. Now I need to seal it and want to do it by myself. A sprayer start at 1200 and have heard coal tar is the way to from some and most said to stay away from the emulsion stuff found at big box stores.

We only use coal tar. We brush every driveway and only spray parking lots. We usually advise to let a new driveway settle for 1-2 years before applying any sealer.

Do you believe in any of the additives they say they help with power steering marks? As the weather warms up I noticed the problem getting worse. I'm good about turning while moving but to get everyone else trained I'd have better chances of teaching a goldfish to talk lol

All the videos seem to have driveways with flat square edges that are easy to attack with the brush. What do you do for a driveway with beveled shoulders say 3 inches in places? Do you coat the shoulder somehow (paintbrush maybe?) or just stay on the top surface?

The sealer is just the slang term, the actual product is coal tar which i believe is pretty close to liquid bitumen
