One of the best players male or female ever. She dominated the LPGA during her career & was almost "robotic" when on form. Great player & its a shame for the golfing public that she retired in her prime.

Annika has as close to a perfect swing as anyone has ever had: both men and women.

Absolutely agree, I've been trying to copy her rythm and tempo

I disagree. Many are much better.

I've been teaching golf since 1987. I also played on mini tours and have read almost every worthwhile book on the golf swing. The swing needs to be kept simple. So let's start with SIMPLE. 1. take a broom in your back yard. 2. use your golf grip 3. stand with feet at shoulder width 4. Stick the broom straight out in front of you and swing the broom ON A HORIZONTAL PLAIN AND SHIFT YOUR WEIGHT TO EACH SIDE/FOOT WHEN YOU SWING making a 90 degree shoulder turn each way. You swing to the right: your weight shifts to the right foot. You swing the broom to the left: your weight transfers to your left foot. Your head should be looking forward. This should be a relaxed motion. just do it back and forth about ten times without stopping. If you do this properly, you'll have perfect weight shift, tempo, correct hip and leg movement, and swing. If done as I instructed, IS the GOLF SWING. The only difference between a broom and club is the plain angle. The broom is horizontal and the golf club is more vertical due to your spine angle and ball. THE GOLF SWING IS THAT SIMPLE! throw away all the golf books about the swing and turn off the Golf Channel. Other advice I will give is if you want to improve your game, take lessons from a pro and practice. There's no free lunch in golf. You have to put in the hours after proper lessons. Forget buying that new Ninja Driver guaranteed to give you 25 more yards (yeah right). Your game will improve a lot more if you spend that $500 on lessons instead of that "new and improved Ninja Driver."

Jamie, I could not agree with you more. Paralysis through analysis, is what you are seeing here. No self respecting golf teacher would show this video as a teaching aid. I do however have to say I love Annika's swing, notwithstanding the fact it is a little unorthodox.

I hope you are actually able to help people with their swings, but honestly I have taken guys who can't break 90, shown them how to grip the club properly, explained the direction of the weight shift back and through the ball, had them do some simple drills like throwing a baseball underhand - SIMPLE, mindless... and many of them were able to break 80 within a month. STOP MAKING IT SO COMPLEX!! I feel like, any more, teaching professionals are simply swing destroyers. Customer retention maybe?

A couple of tips and a few drills will generally not transform a 90's player into a high 70's player.....it takes a lot more than that for a player to reduce his/her handicap from ~20 to ~6. Of course this is the internet, so.....

I see all of these videos, and you guys all pick apart every single position in the swing. NO GREAT PLAYER, EVER, EVER, thought about all of those. Each position is resultant from the setup, and whether or not the genesis of their power is achieved through the lower body, upper body, or both. All of these great players have to watch these ridiculously analytical videos and laugh. No wonder so many people are confused. I'm sorry, I know this is a low view video, but take it off man. Stop.
