The hibachi chef that cooked my food was the most interesting man I've ever met. He pulled alot of illusions to brighten the mood.

Very few Japanese steakhouses put the mustard sauce on the rice and it's excellent! Well done. Does anybody have a clue what the third seasoning was he put on the rice? Sesame seeds maybe....

Sam Sam is that butter or margarine you guys put in the rice? Hopefully it's butter.

thats odd usually they mix up the egg but he left it to cook as white and yoke.

Nobody asked me, i like to cook that way, from my experience customers loved that way more than mixing with rice right away, small details like that makes food more delicious!

a slight change in taste from each spoon full from different parts of the eggs. i thought it was a great idea. especially the salt, pepper, mustard sauce and "pepsi" as the foundation taste of the the fried rice. good chef, i learned a lot watching this video.

This isn't Hibachi, this is Teppan style cooking. Hibachi is based on a charcoal grill, this is Teppan which is based on a griddle.
@danielt66894 жыл бұрын
Actually, go around Japan and ask for a hibachi restaurant and all you're going to get are puzzled looks and a few awkward chuckles. Hibachi is an old-time room heater. It has nothing to do with food. The only reason why "hibachi" became popularized here is that the guy who introduced Japanese charcoal grills to America called it that because he thought shichirin would be too difficult to remember or pronounce.
@Oneness1004 жыл бұрын
@@danielt6689 But why do they call it Hibachi in the video? There are lots of different names that are thrown around. I use what terms I'm familiar with, just others use what terms THEY are familiar with. But why do they use the term Hibachi in this video when it's not a charcoal (which is what a Hibachi or Shinchirin would use? Well, then I am still correct if the guy that brought those grills to the US called them Hibachi. Either way, Teppan grills are NOT the same as a Hibachi OR Shichirin. OH, BTW, I don't go asking for Hibachi food when I go to Japanese Restuarants. The latest term being thrown around Is Binchoyaki . Bincho which is " "charchcoal" and "Yaki" meaning grill. so for a charcoal based grill, Would that make BinchoYaki the more proper term?
