Just got one, nice torch, don't think I'll be burning up popcorn bags with it! but the idea of using it as a powerbank appeals, we get lots of power cuts here.

Superb review, it’s a pricey light but you get a solid performer. 4000 lumens is plenty. I have a Niwalker MB almost ten years old, high is around 2600 with two XHP70s, I usually only use half that. The GT3 with 4x21700 cells looks like the way to go. 👍

I have been into the hobby for a little while but got out of it a few years ago. My only popcan is the MF01S by Astrolux and think its pretty decent for what it is. I do not have any lepers but would love to get one, any really powerful ones that are trustworthy?

In theory yes, I have seen some emitters online get damaged due to light & heat getting reflected back onto the domes. However I have done this wih a few lights and never had an issue personally

I think you're being a little hard on the light. Having a solid 4000 lumens for 2.5 hours is great! I live 30 minutes from the Smoky Mtns and hike many trails through the Smoky's and surrounding Greenways. Never had trouble seeing whatever I need to even when I'm on long forest access roads to another trail head that are maybe 1/2 mile long, never have trouble seeing everything along that road I need to, including game up ahead or other potential dangerous conditions. I'd be interested in what it is you do in real life, besides thought games that requires more than 4000 lumens for 2 1/2 hours? It sounds like you're screwing up in selecting the wrong tool for the job. If you're trying to light up a ballroom for 4 hours by tail standing the GT3 yes your right what a disappointment it only keeps it together for 2.5 hours. However I'd suggest you turn on the A/C lighting in the ballroom that's what there made for. So totally disagree with your premise on about this light and potentially many others. Each one has a specific characteristic and when used in the proper application it will work fine. If you pick a light that doesn't throw 1000meters and you need one that does, fine get that light.
@ethan-lumencraft- Жыл бұрын
I quite like the light, and don't think we disagree at all. I definitely think there is a place for it, my dissapointment is moreso that for the price and size, there are other lights that sustain more than this one, so it's not super competitive in my eyes. But it's solid if you don't want to deal with a fan-cooled light.
