"One of few African Americans in the sport of Professional Skateboarding" Every skater and their mom knows this isn't true. Antuan Dixon, Kevin Romar, Cyril Jackson, Ishod, Theotis, Robert Neal, Na-Kel Smith, Kevin Bradley... I barely touched the surface. And those are just current skaters. No doubt TJ is the man, but Skateboarding has never, and will never, be about skin color. And those in Skateboarding know this.

@reptidan5 жыл бұрын
Slavery happened everwhere, also here, not too mention WW2. We have are own problems here. But we would never put so much emphasis on color. Its segregates people for no reason and adds to racism.
@collectnsell5 жыл бұрын
reptidan slavery in America is a bit more unique. Rarely do you see “slaves” being taken from another country, and stay in said country for centuries.
@johnberry26785 жыл бұрын
reptidan Fam, slavery literally shaped most of the infrastructure in our country, followed by Jim Crowe which is unique to American history and years of systematic discrimination in the forms of mass incarceration, housing redlining, etc. Nothing is overstated

fox news and mass media organizations like fox, nbc, cbs, etc. ALL have MOTIVES. This wasnt a story on Tyshawn, they used tyshawn to paint a racist remark on how “black people can do anything” belittling african americans and making it seem like tyshawn is one of the many that are oppressed and found their “big break”. The media loves to paint pictures, they love to see in COLOR. They cant see anyone just by their accomplishments, they must look at his/her skin color, background, their personality/rhetoric, etc.

Bringing race into skateboarding is just not acceptable at all. Nyjah Houston isn’t white, Yuto Horigome isn’t white, Ishod Wair isn’t white. But they are all extremely successful and they have bearings, shoes, boards, clothing, and countless other things with their name on it because of the hard work they put in and having the will to keep going through bails. Skaters are seen for their style and different ways of doing the same tricks others do. Not where they come from or what their current situation is.

He’s ONE OF ONLY A FEW AFRICAN AMERICAN SKATERS.” This guy clearly knows nothing about skateboarding except for the 3 seconds of X Games he saw on TV back in 1999. I started skating in the 90’s & there has been a lot of black skaters the whole time. Sure the majority is white but black, Hispanic & Asian make up a large portion of all skaters

Every white guy in the comments pointed out "One of few African Americans in the sport of Professional Skateboarding" in this video. There are alot of black people playing basketball, but in comparison there arent very many black guys jumping to pick up a skateboard. Naming a handful of pros is meaningless. How many teams have more than three black people if any? and how many are pros? and no, im not saying anybody is racist. This video is simply trying to inspire and all you guys do is sit in your little bubble thinking you know everything, but don't actually know jack shit.
@DutchOrbit5 жыл бұрын
baka 2000 yeah that’s facts it’s brown skinned people are outnumbered by white skinned people like 8:1 in skate boarding. but there are still a ton of skateboarders with brown complexion whether you like it or not. and comparing it to the nba isn’t fair because no skateboarders are getting 25 million dollar a year contracts over a solid decade.
