Yes, you are correct about why the Lions loss. Every single thing you listed. With that said, it is also true that the Lions PROBABLY would have won if Campbell would have kicked the field goals instead of going for it both times. But only if the kicker made the kicks. It is impossible to say that he would have made both field goals; so it's a mute point.

Dan Campbell's the best coach in the NFL by far and here's the evidence that no one talks about, he had a top three against the spread record each one of his three seasons since he took over as alliance head coach in 2021 2022 and 2023 They were number one during the regular season against the spread. His teams overachieve either due to motivation or his aggressive decisions but whatever it is I don't think I've ever seen a coach win at the level he's won against the number three straight years yet no one talks about this
