After losing his beloved dog during the pandemic, Josh was ready for a serious lifestyle change. One day while watching a TikTok, Josh discovered vanlife & shortly after decided to sell his house & buy a van. He has been on the road for over a year & throughout his travels became ingrained in a nomad community called Kift. He now travels full time with the Kift crew, discovering beautiful places while creating meaningful friendships on the road.
Although Josh did not build out this van himself, he was able to work hand in hand with his builder to make sure his rig turned out the exact way he envisioned it. His rig features a beautiful kitchen with abundant cabinetry, overhead storage, a swivel table, & a small bench seat. In addition to the kitchen, his rig features a fixed bed that faces the passenger door so he can take in all the views as he relaxes. Josh's van is also equipped with 700 amp hours of lithium batteries which allows him to run an AC unit & his toaster oven, making his home on wheels stocked with everything he could ever need.

nice. Oh, you probably want a thicker divider curtain. Maybe even suede or similar (shower curtain fabric works). It's good for insulation and will keep your lights from being seen at night!

One of the great things about the nomadic community I’m a part of, called Kift, is there are so many dogs 🐕 running around. Love being a dog uncle to so many amazing dogs. Plus I feel I’m ready now to have a new friend, waiting for the universe to bring us together; feel like it will happen by the end of this year. Waiting till after Burning Man!

No he didn’t say. But the thought crossed my mind too. I have the feeling that since he had someone do the work for him it wasn’t cheap. Having looked at some of the websites for van builders they can be as close to being as high as a factory built van!

Hope you don’t mind me, asking just curious, what do you do for a living to be able to support your travels? Also, is that a composting toilet? What kind of gas mileage do you get?

Hey William, I saved up a lot when I was a real estate agent to be able to get the van 🚐 💨. And now do remote work at a couple different gigs, help out coaching real estate and working for the nomad community, called Kift. And that really helps cut down on costs as we share a lot of expenses. Also, yeah it is a composting toilet and it’s really great! And gas mileage is not great, have a lot of weight with all the batteries, water and roof rack. Probably 10-15 miles to the gallon. But helps to be able to post up at the community houses at Kift. Been pursued to write a book I worked with celebrity houses! World champion boxers! Sold world famous Prince ranch boxing training center! Unbeknownst at the time mafia! They flew me to New York for the most incredible wedding I’ve ever seen! Was the Real estate broker f! ,or a fortune 500 company started with the owner when he moved out of his garage! what is the agent for the owner of the Prince ranch and boxing manager property being used by Mike Tyson, Lennox, Lewis, Oscar Delahoya, went to after fight parties! Making 300,000 per year in the 1990s! What a life!

There is a bathroom, slides out, plus have a shower inside that slides out, it was all filled with stuff and that’s why they didn’t include it in the video.
