It's an anger thing. Prof was more confused then angry, thus couldn't match up with Marko. Against Vector he was furious over the damage to the Mount and all the crap they'd been through. Also the matchup with World War Hulk, Cain wasn't full power at the beginning. When he fully reclaimed the power of Cytorak he went shot for shot with Hulk until a clever sidestep ended the altercation. I can't fathom how venom could defeat Juggernaut at all honestly, relatively poor comparison imo. Venom is the most inconsistent character power wise in comics for the most part.

+cmbtwink Still, Professor Hulk's healing is off chart and it's fair to say on the same par with that of World War Hulk, so how come he couldn't recover fast from Marko's punches although the latter wasn't fully powered nor boosted?

+Savage Hulk Perhaps the same reason be head dazed logan? Similar in vein of thought that the professor or Emma couldn't mind control him at that point in WWH, but Onslaught comandeered the Professor Hulk rather easily to go after Cable. I agree, the consistancy within a lot of the stories is lacking, but it's pretty easy to see from the beginning of this particular story, Hulk's mind clearly isn't on the job and lets his confusion to the situation get the better of him. I'm not giving the writers an out, just applying a situation as I see it. :)

cmbtwink Put the mind control issue aside, Cain Marko wasn't enhanced nor boosted to pound the Hulk this way! Fully powered Juggernaut got his ass kicked by Venom who was overpowered by Professor Hulk. Juggernaut was almost killed by Onslaught who in his turn got his indestructible armor cracked by a punch by the Hulk! Marko just caught him off guard and then started a regular fist fight. Peter David forgot or IGNORED that he showed Hulk healing all his ripped off flesh in matter of minutes and stated that Hulk can't stand up to Marko's attack coz he can't recover fast, and that's the first bullshit. The second one is where THE HELL is the stronger the madder thing? Why I don't see him getting stronger the madder against some troller like Marko who initially doesn't have what it gets to pound the Hulk this way! Comics say it not me.

+Savage Hulk I'm not sure what issue you showed the Venom/Juggs matchup. I have the snippet in your clip (which I enjoy very much btw) to run off of. I do disagree in regards to Marko being a troller though. Yes in the past it's been lackluster but lets not forget Banner utilized Juggernaut's strength as a training test for Skar. None the less, we all have our considerations on things. I find the entire story arc with Red Skull rather lackluster, I mean he had bindings that could hold the Prof Hulk? Of everything presented in that story that's the hardest for me to swallow honestly.

Hulk has power to make destruction but Cain Marko without the juggernaut armor still has the power and strength of the cyttorak allowing him to increase his strength and becoming unstoppable

Well all i could find out about Prof. Hulk is that his strenght doesn´t increase over time like savage hulk. He is at his so called calm state all the time to have Banners inteligence. So that would put him in the so called 100 ton feature. Savage Hulk has 100 Ton +. There is no limit on his strenght. Also Cain Chokes hulk so he doesn´t get air. that has been done several times and worked fine. (The Venom Vs Juggernaut is a story i cannot even bother to consider)

The Juggernaut that WWH beat wasn't fully powered iirc. Also wasn't Venom powered up somehow in that storyline which made him stronger? If you don't like this one you'll hate the one when Spider-Man knocks the savage Hulk out cold after a brief skirmish and with a manhole cover of all things! Considering the savage incarnation is meant to be second to World Breaker in strength.

Nope, all am saying is that Hulk avenged his loss as the Professor against Cain Marko and kicked his ass in the World War run. As for World War Hulk vs. Juggernaut, they just fought to a standstill, and Juggernaut did nothing but pushing Hulk a bit living up to his slogan: "when he starts moving in one direction, nothing stops him". So, there's nothing special about what he did, coz this is exactly what he does .. Pushing his opponents.

Yes I understand your frustration with inconsistency in comics but it's not out of the realm of possibility. In real life there are also inconsistencies. For example, Joe Frazier and Ken Norton beat Muhammad Ali and then George Foreman destroyed both of them. So it would have been logical to assume big George would do the same to Ali. But Ali beat and beat up on Foreman in their fight. It was logically inconsistent but it happened.

You should go to a site called killermovies.com they discuss this stuff all the time. I think Hulk being taken down by Juggernaut with a choke hold makes sense. He has been taken down with gas before, and the Hulk also lost to Dr. Octopus once by being pummeled by his tentacles (now that fight was bull) but Juggernaut is resistant to all forms of attack except psychic and he's just as strong as the Hulk. Btw, why show a weakened Juggernaut fighting World War Hulk and not show when he gets his powers back?

The Juggernaut who's resistant to all forms of attack got his ass kicked by Venom who was beaten by the same Professor Hulk. Inconsistency still stands clear. +Savage Hulk I could be wrong, but I just assumed that Marko, though not being in his suit here, was still very much the same Juggernaut that he was when all suited up. Where do we find that he's not still fully powered when out of costume during the period that this story takes place? When they first fought in WWH, he wasn't depowered because he was out of costume, he was out of costume because he had been considerably depowered, which I think happened in the pages of X-Caliber. In this comic, he isn't depowered at all, he's only not wearing his costume so that the Hulk does not recognize him as he's passing for a (rather large but normal) construction worker. The Marko in WWH is considerably smaller than the Hulk, but the Marko here is very much the same size he always is--he's the same size as when they fought in WWH after his power had been restored. And in the X-pages before WWH, even when Marko is suited up, he's still a weaker Juggernaut. He's wearing a different "home-made" helmet, and he even gets taken down relatively easily by the Wrecking Crew, who can't believe it themselves that they took him out. You're right about the whole inconsistency with Venom. Like +cmbtwink said, Venom is the most inconsistent character power-wise in comics. He goes from getting beaten up by Spider-Man to beating up Juggernaut (who got beaten up by Wonder Woman) to beating up Superman. I don't see much inconsistency with this Hulk/Juggernaut fight. A fully powered Juggernaut punches on a Hulk who is holding back and staying cool because he doesn't realize how strong his opponent really is. Juggernaut rattles his brain in the same manner that WWH did to Wolverine. It's hard to get angry when your head's all swimming, and even though his healing factor is still working, it's not going to be working crazy fast since Hulk isn't all that angry. And a healed brain does not necessarily mean immediate clarity and full consciousness. If it did, Hulk would never stay knocked out for more than a couple of minutes.

Seemed fine to me, if Juggernaut can squeeze the Air out of Thor then Prof is fair game. did you ever think the other things are whats inconsistent and not this? I mean Juggs beat Venom too, and loosing to Venom is way more inconsistent for him. And Panels are not a time frame, it could have been seconds but why not a minute? In most cases, like when Thanos flashfried his skin off when Hulk and Nate Grey fought him he didn't regen quickly, and he was stronger then Prof Hulk. And maybe completely stopping and focusing on regen actually heals him exponentially more then fighting while regening. Jugs is a major power player, and this works out for me, Prof was one of the cockiest Hulks, I would argue even cockier then Fixit, and Juggernaut knows how to Rope-a-dope. And if Half Powered Juggs can Rope-a-dope King Hyperion then Professor Hulk is Fair game. This is one of my favorite moments, Juggs in Civis, Dinosaurs Shirt no less XD, bustin heads.
